MASSIVE DESIGN FLAW
THIS IS FOR RIMLESS TANKS. the back clamp WILL NOT fit the rim of a 20, 29,55, or bigger. missed opportunity for manufacturer as this can be a great supplemental filter. I currently have it sitting on top of a 55 gallon aquarium's glass cover, but the cover is bowing a little bit due to the weight of the filter filled with media. also the output is on the back and I feel It would work better if on the bottom. nice little filter on its own but I cant use it as intended.

Exceeded expectations
I was looking for a way to diffuse the return current from my filter after the water goes through the chiller in my axolotl tank. Axolotl don’t like strong currents. This filter does that perfectly and he’s not being swept around in the tank anymore. Plus it gives the added benefit of mechanical and biological filtration. The filter is totally silent and often times I have to open the top to make sure it’s even running. Highly recommend. It’s worth mentioning that my tank is rimless. You can use this on a rimmed tank but you may have to DIY brackets, shouldn’t be more than a few dollars from home depot or Lowe’s.

Wet dry
This really a wet dry filter. I put a 90 gph pump and it works great . Very quiet and very easy to change filter media. Plenty of room to charcoal, bacteria, filter, media. . Any pump over a 100 gph will push water to fast through it .
