This is a great bit of kit, works very well and so easy to use. It's compact size is also a bonus for storage.This device is excellent for keeping food fresh for much longer and therefore can even extend the 'sell by date' for some items kept in the fridge. I have used it for deli meat like ham, salami; cheeses and nuts.Don't hesitate, buy one, you'll be surprised how useful this is.

I go wild camping a fair bit and I usually buy dried meals which have become very expensive.I bought this kit to start making my own meals for boil in the bag reheating. I eat healthy and I like to know what's in my food so I now get to eat healthier meals and save a small fortune over the dried meals I was buying before. It's so easy to use and it takes about a minute to put the cooked food into one of the many bags provided in the kit, seal it, then suck the air out with this device. Its ridiculously easy to use. Its already saved me money as I've made about ten meals which would have cost me around £100 if I'd bought dried camping meals (I usually buy the firepot meals as I'm lactose intolerant). I've spent about £25 on steak, rice and veg over those 10 meals so I've saved 75% on what I'd usually spend on the dried meals.The bags are washable and reusable. Its just a no brainer.

Brilliant and saves lots of room in fridge and freezer

Great little machine, it's designed to remove air from sealable bags used for food. I use it with my re-sealable bags for my 3d printer filament. The bags that came with the suction pump are to small for use with 1kg filament rolls, but my wife claimed them for preserving food and there great if you want to take sandwiches with you on a hike or fishing or whatever reason you would need to take some butties with you. Best of all no batteries needed; these are rechargeable via a USB connection.I was using the hand pump for a sometime which worked fine but if you needed to seal a few bags it took a while and was tiring on the wrist. This is just a case of putting it on the valve of the bag, switching on and letting it do the work. There not cheap but keep an eye out for deals on Amazon.

Worked well but suddenly stopped working after 3 months of intermittent usage. Not very impressed with lifespan of product
