Very well built. Easy to install. The old muffler was a pain to remove. Make sure you lubricate the mounts about 10 minutes before removing the old muffler. It may help keep you from addressing ng money to the swear jar. Once it's on you can imediately hear and feel the difference. Sounds great and not too loud.

I stumbled upon this TACTIK exhaust system. It’s not too often you come across something with exceptional and mostly 5star reviews. After reading positive review after positive review my curiosity got the better of me. I was somewhat skeptical that something so good could come at this price point.The package arrive on time and the exhaust was well packaged with plenty of bubble wrap. The welds and craftsmanship look top notch.As so, many of the reviews stated, and they indeed were not Lying, removal of the-stock exhaust was indeed the absolute worst part about this. Mine took about 1.5hours to remove due to 10years of rust. But once the old was off the new TACTIK exhaust slid into place with ease. Mounting and installing it took 10min.The exhaust sound is a pleasant yet subtle. It is not obnoxious. It is not annoying. It does not drone nor sound like a fast and the furious car (which I was worried about) It’s just a nice low end bass/rumble. Kinda reminds me of a nice European car sound. I drove in about 60 miles after installation very pleased with how it sounds and performs. The look on my opinion is superb. Looks clean and sharp. Doesn’t hang too low. If I had to say one negative would be may be the exhaust tips extend a little bit too far past the bumper for my personal liking but nothing that prevents me from being very pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend this if you’re considering aftermarket exhaust.

The Tactik sounds great...!! And it is an awesome price on Amazon! I originally bought a less expensive muffler that looked similar. It did not sound good at all, was very raspy, and too loud. I returned it and got the Tactik for only $40 more. It has a nice deep muscle tone throughout the power band. When I step on the gas heads turn, but it's not obnoxious. I haven't been able to get it aligned quite right though. The only adjustment is the exhaust pipe clamp, because the muffler hangs on two rubber mounts otherwise. My right side tip wants to stick out further beyond the bumper than the left. The directions clearly state the clamp has to be very tight to keep alignment; so I'll keep adjusting it until the tips are even. Overall, I really like the muffler sound and looks. (Also installed a Banks CAI, and very happy with the combination for a tad more giddyup)

From opening the box, I was impressed with the quality of this system.quality tubing, good welds, good paint coverage and a stainless steel clamp is included. the install took less than 30 minutes and everything lined up perfectly. It was pretty quiet on initial start up which had me a little concerned, but after a week it is starting to "burn in" and its getting a better tone.If you want a loud, noticeable system, this is not the one for you but if you want something to give it a little growl on the loud pedal, you cant beat this system for the price. Additionally, it has been showing gains of 1.5 to 2 mpg since install!

My Tactik exhaust arrived in perfect condition. It seems very well made. The exhaust tips protrude about three inches past my stock JK bumper (but not past the spare tire) and are angled slightly down. The final tip angle is really determined by the mid-pipe connection angle and no amount of hanger adjustment will change that. The Taktic exhaust does not interfere with the frame or body in any way and it is much smaller than the stock Jeep JK muffler. I installed it with the rear tires off and my JK on jack stands. Everything is much more accessible that way. I carefully cut the heavily rusted original clamp off with a cut-off wheel on my angle grinder. I also was able to carefully cut a line through the original mufflers female connection and peel it away with a large screwdriver. The old muffler slipped right off and the Tactik muffler slipped right on the mid-pipe. I used my floor jack with a few 2 x 6 cut-offs to hold the Taktic muffler in place while I installed two new hangers. I was surprised to find that the Taktic muffler is very quiet in operation. It's barely louder than stock. My JK was in my garage and after starting the engine, I had to get out of the drivers seat and walk to the back of my JK to hear the exhaust at all. It remains quiet even with the windows down while driving. You will not be bothering or annoying anyone with this Taktic exhaust. The supplied clamp is inadequate. I'll be replacing that. I am very happy with my new Taktic exhaust.

08 Wrangler install went very fast and easy. Hangers were perfect length and everything else fit too. Considerably louder than stock muffler, but not too much so. Sounds really nice and mellow, which is what I had hoped for. But, as so many reviewers have commented, the hard part was getting off the existing OEM exhaust. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten the hanger removal tool. Also, I recommend buying new rubber hangers in case you have to cut the old ones off like I did or if your existing ones are worn out (they take a lot of abuse). Good luck!
