Clever cooks : a concoction of stories, charms, recipes and riddles

Thank you so much for sending this book so fast. I am enjoying reading it to my granddaughter already. We are having so much fun and maybe we will make a few of the recipes too. Very nice book in very good condition. We will have years of fun ahead.

I first read this book as a pre-pubescent girl. LOVED all of the stories in it. As an old lady I searched for this book (thank you internet!! and the www) because I longed to read the stories again, and possibly try some of the crazy recipes tucked in the pages. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book!!!!

Every storyteller should have this classic in his/her library.Award winning illustrator,Trina Schart Hyman, illustrations grace the contents. I bought this collection especially to have Clever Cooks rendering of "The Woman Who Flummoxed The Fairies".
