PacSafe 55 Secure Protector for Backpack or Bag

when I first considered purchasing this product I was a little dubious as I thought it might prove awkward to use and easily tangled whilst taking it out of the supplied pouch and putting back in. How wrong I was, as you take it out, it springs easily into shape and is easy to secure. Unlike some other products there was more than enough room in the pouch to put it back in with ease, we have all struggled with items that do not seem to fit back into the supplied pouch once you have taken it out. I am very pleased with the product and would highly recommend it.

Might make it easier to handle for its owners but also easier to manipulate or destroy for thieves. The older more bulky product feels safer.

I used this when travelling around South America. Once you get the hang of how to put it around your bag and what best suits- it's brilliant. I felt so safe and secure and whenever I put my bag on public transport I had piece of mind no one could easily get into it. Great investment! It was thrown around for 3 months travelling and was still in perfect condition afterwards.

Seems to work okay, but its smaller than you think, so its quite tight to get it on the bag I want to use it on, plus its like fighting an octopus to get it over the bag, but once on its okay, whether its actually secure I can't say, but its really about deterring the opportunist.

The mesh seems well made and it's a good design. I don't know how long it would stand up to attack so hopefully the shiny stainless steel cables will deter any thieves.Expensive for what it is, but not so expensive that I could be bothered making something similar myself!

We have yet to use this in anger, but first impressions are great; seems very sturdy and capacious. We have soft luggage for our motorbike, and the plan is to use this protector to secure the panniers if we need to leave them with the bike. It happily fits both panniers, fully loaded with 2 sets of armoured jackets, trousers, and boots (helmets stored separately).

A great product which I have found indispensable. As a motorcyclist it is hard to travel and have somewhere to put your gear at your destination.I can fit crash helmet, boots, jacket, jeans and gloves into a bag and put it inside my PacSafe. Sorted. A must have item/

Did the job perfectly. Travelled around SE Asia and luggage was safe at all times. Lock your luggage to your bed when you go out and it's still there when you return.
