Accurate testing at home
This was easy enough to use at home. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. They called me with the result and the next steps since my test was positive for concern for celiac. I then had confirmation testing at the local hospital which was also positive so I feel like the test was accurate. The associated app is also user friendly.

Helpful but not very useful for specifics
This will give you a “yes or no” answer, but keep in mind it doesn’t give you any specific values on the test.

Please don’t waste your money. Lol.
There’s a lot of reviews about the process and procedure, but that’s not what we’re looking for, is it? We want to know if this can give you accurate readings on detected celiac. Guess what? It cannot. It gave me contradicting answers to what I already know. Everything came back normal and negative. That’s a lie. Furthermore, it’s not even a way to diagnose anything. It doesn’t give you any data markers, show you any kind of readings, and they only perform 2/3 test depending on if you meet the criteria needed. I just wanted to see how accurate these things were. They’re not. If you suspect you may have celiac, do yourself a favor and let your doctor know. Try an elimination diet and see if you feel better. Save your money. Biopsy’s are the only way to truly confirm this. But also just try the elimination diet.If you still want to try this, expect to massage all the blood out of your finger and have bruises on your fingers for a few days. The lancet is no joke.

Was fairly easy to do and send in.
I got this kit because I believe I have Celiac sensitivities.I didn't really read about it before I ordered but it is a blood test. I originally thought it was a DNA test but it is not. It looks for blood markers for Celiacs. You need to register your card number on their website before you start. It includes lancets to quickly poke your finger to fill up a card on two lines. It includes 3 lancets in case you need three. I only needed one. Because I'm a wimp and couldn't poke myself, I asked my kid to push it down on my finger, and he did, which was super quick and painless. I just couldn't make myself do it.The blood surprisingly flowed easily from my fingertip, making it easy to fill up the card to the line. You let the card dry overnight (or for a few hours) and then put it in a special envelope and send it to them in the mail. I'm still awaiting the results, but the process to get it sent in was easy. Their website has a video that shows exactly what to do. It also says in some instances your insurance may cover the cost of the test. You could look into that.Overall, the process was easy. Just note it involves a finger prick which was painless.

Good test but takes more blood spots than others
Still a great test but 4 stars because of how much blood was needed. I’ve done one other celiac screening test before this one and it only took 4-5 drops of blood. This brand requires double that which was pretty challenging to do. Sometimes you can finger stick in the perfect spot and get plenty and other times your finger might only give a few drops before clotting.

Waiting on results but quite annoying.
How this went down:I have digestive issues, I don't recall if celiac disease was tested for in all, so I figured I'd give this a shot.It isn't cheap. So certainly not something I'd like to be tossing around on tests 24/7. If I have no reason to believe I have (thing being screened for) I really don't want/need to send off dozens of tests when just visiting my doctor can order a lab to draw blood and test a bunch of markers. There's probably a high risk of human error. Numerically speaking you're probably NOT a doctor or a nurse. You might not have experience with using lancets to stab your fingers and to bleed proper into a square until it seeps through past a line. And if you clot well/fast you may find your stab-wound drying up before you finish bleeding. You have to leave it out to air dry for 2+ hrs, so I hope you don't have pets, or any other possible contaminants. Before you can even do that though, you have to jump through some hoops. For something that you're doing as a PERSONAL REFERENCE, (private, maybe you're embarrassed to ask your doctor or think your doctor isn't taking you seriously so you want a 2nd opinion that isn't face to face possibly biased?), you might think "okay, I stab, bleed, seal, send, and my results will get sent back to me."Nope. The experience starts with "go to this website. enter your name, address, phone, email, create an account and password, answer dozens and dozens of medical questions that have NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS TEST... If anything, answering all these questions could make answer more likely to be biased, whereas a blind blood test is just numbers and values. DOES IT COME BACK WITH POS/NEG MARKERS?To Everlywell's credit, you can "skip this question" like 47 times. And then you get to the end wondering WHY did they even hound me about all that info, and they play sneaky-buggers. You click to finish, and it pops up a final "complete" page where they SNEAK IN A CHECK BOX TO OPT-IN TO RECEIVE ENDLESS PHONE/EMAIL/MAIL SPAM "for marketing purposes" that totally wasn't there on the screen until after you signaled that you were done, and THEY AUTO-SELECT TO OPT-IN.I get it, marketing is big money, but deliberately shady moves like that really grind my gears. You want to convince me to buy more expensive tests? You want me to opt in to hear about more screenings you're offering? GIVE ME MY TEST AND RESULTS FIRST. WOW me with how easy and good this process was.Nope, they do this and harass you with the questionnaire in a MANDATORY data phishing process before you've even dug through your box to bleed on some cards. Now that you're frustrated and annoyed that you've wasted 15mins online making a profile and probably signing up for 72 spam emails and robo-calls a day, on accident, you get to the kit:You get cheap bandaids to cover your soon to be self-inflicted wound(s). Some gauze to wipe up and soak up excess blood. (if you've ever donated blood before it's very similar to the process, except the bleeding part is manual and there is no cute plastic tube that just slurps up a few drops). You heat your hand with warm water, shake your arm to get blood flowing, get quietly judged by your cats. and then sit down. Alcohol swab the finger to be sure it's clean. Wait 1 min. Pop off the top of the lancet, brace against a table or something, press the lancet to your finger-pad, and somehow even though I know it's not that bad I find myself hesitating and anxiety sets in because I swear I'm pressing hard enough but I haven't heard the click. Then it does click and oh there's a tiny prick. Then comes the fun part. For me it took a LOT of time and pressure. Lots of finger massaging, trying to coax more blood to my hand and out the finger, trying to make it actually drip into the square. 4-5 drops it says, but after like 6 drops the red river still hasn't bled past the "bleed to here please" line. After that's done, you have to bleed into the OTHER square... by this time my blood is like "bruh, I'm trying to clot here, you mind?" I end up having to clean/lancet/massage a second finger.Anyway, I locked it in my office cat-free and mailed it off this morning.Considering the whole process is built around potential untrained human error and marketing to sell you more expensive tests I'm not impressed so far. I guess we'll see if/when I get my results how that goes.

Requires a finger prick
This test is for convenient use of home testing to see if you have celiacs disease. Everything needed to test arrives including finger sticks and information about registration. You can register your kit online, it does not take much time. The finger stick work well but it is not fun to do. The results do not take long, and they provide you your risk level.
