Cat House for Outdoor & Indoor Wooden Waterproof Cat Condo Cat Outdoor Enclosure with Escape Door,2 Story Kitty House

This was bought for our garden cat Mousey. I put it together myself so it was easy to do, probably took a hour? I’m surprised at how nice it is for the price so I think it’s a great deal. It’s very well made. I’ll probably add a heated pad when winter comes, right now it’s spring in Texas so I’m not sure it will be used much but I’m fine with that. It has been quite windy so I know that’s no issue for it, it’s also rained and inside is dry. Easy and looks great

Assembly went well and was easy to figure out! I’ve got 3 cats, so it’s a little bit small for all 3 to be on one level together, but two are regularly curled up in there together. The roof opening is extremely handy as well. I also don’t have any doubts about durability for where I put it against the house on our porch. It feels heavy and sturdy!I’m not positive that it keeps them extremely warm just because there’s some gaps around the doors and the middle level floor slides in through another gap and it’s not insulated, BUT I added layered memoryfoam bath mats to the floors to make it as comfortable and cozy as possible and they really don’t seem to mind some ventilation.

The design of this cat shelter is attractive & it has nice features. But the wood it's made with is soft and cracks easily. It's biggest problem is it isn't weatherproofed at all. There are gaps & open seams where the bottom and middle floor slide into the frame. I sealed off the lower escape door and clean-out door completely because they leaked terribly. I went through a roll of reflective thermal insulation (applied w. Contact cement inside the roof, walls & floor) and three tubes of caulking to insulate and seal all the seams against the wind & rain. And I painted the entire structure with waterproof Gorilla paint to.pritect & seal the wood. I also added 2 K&H heavy duty cat warming pads (above & below) With my modifications it's suitable for outside use in the American upper Mid-West. Without waterproofing, sealing & insulation it is unsuitable for outside placement. One winter outside would probably destroy it.

Easy to put together and my cats love it

Love the look of this house. Hoping our barn cat will use it. Since the barn he was living in was destroyed in a storm.Assembly time was about an hour. We had a few issues but it was due to our error. The seller kept contact to confirm the delivery. Which is a plus in our book. The house does have a scent to it but I would describe it as a cedar like smell which I would suspect with a fir wood. I would see the smell being bother-some for someone wanted to use it in door.But all in all definitely recommended this house. Hopefully it will hold up to weather, only time will tell that.

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put together.

The media could not be loaded. The hinges where where the roof attaches or not properly attached in the right place because it brings the roof too far down and there’s a gap in the ridge vent. My suggestion is that they reset their templates to make sure that this roof fits tight so it will be waterproof as they described, I personally would like new roof assembly to ensure that it remains waterproof as described. There were a couple corner pieces that were cracked as well.

For the price I paid this was a little more flimsy than I expected. If you are not good at putting things together don't purchase this. The instructions are horrible thank God I actually know how to build things. Had to reinforce it with wood glue and additional screws. It will probably not last outside for very long is very cute for indoor use. I will have to put this under our deck for our feral cats in order to have the house last for any. Of time. Cats are still checking it out hopefully they start using it soon as winter is approaching. Could have been better for the price charged
