Nice thermometer, it is great to monitor the conditions in our basement family room. Helps keep it as comfortable as possible for our use. Setu pwas so easy took less than 2 minutes and it has been running flawlessly for about 2 months. Highly recommend this item.

Works well and appears to be accurate. Could not find a copy of the User Manual online (nor the Amastar website) so the photos are of the manual.

There's supposed to be a magnet on the back - there's a place for a magnet, but there's NO MAGNET!

Ok, let's start with the good. Decent form factor, thin Seems to be relatively accurate. I've gone through quite a few of the cheap hygrometers and found that they are almost all off by over 12 to 15%, this one is well within the stated error range. And most importantly both temperature and humidity can be calibrated if it isn't. Almost perfect. Both the temperature and humidity were off by a bit, but easily fixed with calibration.Now for the bad. The magnet on the back is a very weak. It won't stick directly to any metal (not painted) without sliding down. Given that was part of my use case, i had to deduct a star. If you aren't counting on the magnet on the back, then it's a pretty good hygrometer for the price. Maybe i can find some double sided tape or something to keep it secure. Oh, and there is some sort splotch of glue residue on the back.In case anyone needs to calibrate it (it was off a few percentage points). Press the min/max button and set for three seconds. When the humidity is blinking, then press the - or + to increase or decrease the RH to the actual calibrated RH. Press set and hold when done.

Very good for in home use. Did have to calibrate slightly but it was very easy! Display reads very well and is easy to see.

Seems pretty accurate. Within 1 degree and 2% humidity. This is compared to my Honeywell HVAC thermostat and another Therm/Hygrometer I have. Cant beat the price.

Likes:- Accurate (compared to a calibrated thermometer) and consistent (the two thermometers I bought showed almost the same readings).- Can be easily calibrated.- Big and contrast display.- Uses 2 AAA batteries (not included).- Folding stand can be adjust for different angles.Dislike:- Slow response to temperature change.
