(REFIRE VS CAMO COLL) VS ALL OTHER TACTICAL JACKETS
When it comes to comparing ReFire to Camo Coll or any other tactical jacket in this price point the choice is obviously clear to go with ReFire!HERE IS WHY:UPDATE!!!!........WATER REPELLENCE TESTPlease read the full review because I continue to recommend this ReFire Gear over Camo Coll...However I was able to run a full water resistance test I'm located in a North American rainforest much like Seattle with even more annual rain.PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS...Like Camo Coll the jacket did leak at the lower back patch at the seams / stitching area... the outer shell does repel water initially but does feel a bit soggy to the touch as the woven fabric must not be tight enough to bead up water continually, at first yes but over time not so much. However the moist feeling I was getting inside the jacket was not outside precipitation but internal sweat wearing a compression shirt in (August)So I was in torrential rain fall for over 30min straight, imagine wearing your gear inside your shower... YUP! that much rain!!! for 30min.s straight...See the photos and you decide, but I think with that much rain, the ReFire gear is pretty resistant enough for my liking only I suggest the company listen to this review and do something about the back panel which clearly leaks at the seams... Other than that, I stayed warm and the fleece was dry ( see photos )I will have to test again in Oct / Nov/ Dec. to see if the freezing rain makes any difference with the fleece keeping body heat in..THE PANTS: No complaints what so ever on the pants, they held up to the soaking rain, they fit great, they have a high waist line so good for hiking but my only issue is the belt loops are for standard belts so being a tactical gear, they should enlarge the belt loops for tactical belts, other than that the pants are perfect in every way! they don't leak anywhere at all and are very warm but even in August I am not roasting in them...ORIGINAL REVIEW:Before I share with you my negative experience with Camo Coll allow me to quickly explain why I prefer ReFire first.PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS...Yes these are ( china made ) however the company took the time to include the conversion to the U.S. market and it was accurate for me.I am 5-10 and fluctuate my weight from 195-210lbs seasonally, stocky build with full stomach but no beer belly. That said I normally wear an XL and they suggest a XXL and they were correct.FIT: when you choose a size up from your normal size it is correct and consistent. The sleeves were the correct length for me not too bulky but have room for layers underneath. I also prefer the fit around the mid section which was more snug and form fitting but not restricting, which is in contrast to the Camo Coll which was baggy in the mid section and far from a "tactical" style fit.the length is perfect not too short not too long. So over all the fit and articulation capabilities are spot on.ZIPPER: Finally! they placed the zipper on the correct side ( right ) side for a male jacket.. after several ( china bootleg ) experiences with these jackets ReFire gets it correct.FEATURES: Here is where they stand out compared to most other tactical jackets in this price range and arguably compared to the higher priced jackets.(POCKETS & PADDING) Sleeve pockets have strong zippers and can hold license / documents / maps / knives / lighters / etc. Also has padding patches on the forearms for resting on objects when shooting etc. hook n loop patches for military badges etc. on upper arm. Fold down flap to stow away hood.HOOD: This is another feature that beats out the rest. The hood is just the right size, not too large not too small and has draw strings to tighten to a close fit. In addition to this the hood has a visor bill build in and acts like a ball cap visor and is the right length and size, not too large and obstructive in view and adequate enough to shield rain / sleet etc. Plus when you do not want the visor in use simply fold it under and out of the way. This alone eliminated the need for a ball cap and compared to Camo Coll which had a huge! hood with similar features, the fit on it was horrible compared to the ReFire... again ReFire all the way...CAMO: spot on CP / multicamo... great pattern and unlike Camo Coll which had WAY TOO MANY! flesh tones and pick hues ( girly ) look. ReFire stays true to Multicam / CP and the flesh tones are present but not overwhelming just enough for the autumn time colors.OVERALL: I go with the ReFire compared to all others because the fit is perfect, comfortable and durable the features are a plus especially the hood and comparing to others esp. Camo Coll ReFire is far better in all aspects...WATERPROOF: I live in a North American rainforest ( timber country ) much like Seattle weather and even worse really. Camo Coll leaked at the seams and I could feel the entire coat get moist and soggy and the water soak into ( not bead up ) within 10 min of steady rain, thats not waterproof and thats not even water resistant.I will update this review as we are in August now and have a heat wave with no rain for the next week or so.. But rest assure I will put it to the test.WHY NOT CAMO COLL:Fist off the jacket is a classic Chinese bootleg jacket and you will find many on here that are all knock offs of the same jacket, Not with ReFire not in my experience so far. So Camo Coll puts the zipper on the wrong side (left ) ( woman's side ) and calls it a mens jacket.NEXT: the fit is not that great when comparing to ReFire as the mid section is like a skirt, then you get the Camo colored in hues of pinkTHEN: when I ask the community a question about the color, I get a response that was deleted by Amazon staff but was from Camo Coll the company themselves attacking my gender and making immature sexist comments about my gender identification all because I pointed out they are selling a woman's jacket with Pink overtones... What cowards, if I could reach through the interweb and get my hands around the neck of that smart a$$ who thought he was being cute he would not have made that comment for sure.So why do business with arrogant Chinese who look at the U.S. market and consumers and blind little pigs... Its really too bad (Made in America) is no longer but if you must buy Chinese and you want a tactical jacket under $100 I suggest these ReFire jackets.Thats my 2 cents..

Pattern is more red than the official pattern it's modelled after
Ok. So I bought this for wet weather milsim airsoft stuff primarily. I run multicam gear. The jacket is a bit on the red spectrum for the pattern. Will it still work? Absolutely. While a bit of airsoft is a fashion show, at the end of the day, I needed a jacket that "matched" my uniform to comply with rules, otherwise I'd just have gone with tan or green. This does that. It's not perfect, and is noticeable especially in the right light. However, it is close enough to get the job done while keeping me dry. I wore it in some driving rain today, and had no issues. It was only about a half an hour, but it performed fine. I have no illusions to it being waterproof, and may add some scotch guard or something to give it a little extra help. However, it does what I need it to do, and until I have the extra cash to throw around for a VertX jacket or something, I'm happy with it.

The pattern has a bit of pink
The brown and green and beige is good. There is a bit of pink in there that isn’t bad. Not what I expected but it works well. The pockets are shallow and high.

Good value for the price.
Size? I normally wear a Large, ordered an XL which is their XXXL, as tagged. Compared it to a Woolrich Mountain Parka in L, and an Austrian issue Mountain Jacket (metric) sold as a Large. The Refire was slightly longer in the sleeve length, the drop tail on the Refire a bit longer by an inch. All three have raglan sweatshirt sleeve construction which eliminates a leak point at the shoulder. Overall the fit is close enough for the industry given their suggestions on interpreting sizing, and in an active field garment you do not want tight - you need to layer and have freedom of movement. It's acceptable, given my experience with other military issue garmets, their cost and typically short field life.Camo pattern: This is meant to resemble Multicam without tripping legal sanctions. One, the search terms might call it up, but the description etc avoids the term. I leave it to others to parse the nuances of Intellectual Property law, I can state it is NOT an exact copy when compared to a labeled Multicam M65 I purchased from the Cav Store before the pattern was even issued stateside, and also compared it to an issued surplus combat shirt and pants I bought surplus - for ten cents on the dollar of Clothing Sales. US DOD issue "multicam" isn't - it's the submitted pattern Crye offered long ago without an black in it. Licensed Multicam has some black elements, and overall in my experience either MC or GI, known as Scorpion or OCP- has a pale green tone to the background colors. The fabric printed and used by Refire is closer to Coyote - tans - and as noted by some could even appear slightly rosy. The black elements are much darker, too, and side by side the contrast is much higher with Refire. On the other hand, worn, older MC fades considerably. Mine are no longer new, the black is fading and contrast is much lower. Laundering clothing and wearing it in the abrasive outdoors tends to fuzz up short white cotton fibers which is why all recommend turning the garment inside out to launder, something I wish I had done to the older all cotton BDU's - after a few seasons they would turn grey green, and UCP went horribly blue very quickly. Refires high contrast may well last longer and resist degradation better - a soft shell isn't worn year round, either.Fabric noise - there is some in all fabrics. For hunting you should check garments before purchase, I remember the vinyl Blaze Vests were real zippy with their psuedo molded canvas texture. Most of the original hunting camo clothes were in fleece for that reason, but performance and being able to shed burrs had their issues.Water repellancy? I have NEVER found a guaranteed "waterproof" garment. Ever. Goretex fails, I have had other softshell garments which finally transmitted water inside, and the construction of the material with membrane also keeps perspiration inside which can and will build up to the point of exceeding the exterior. Soft shells are not rated for extreme use, "HARD" shells do that job. And even GI gear eventually fails due to wear and tear. That doesn't mean I won't wear it in wet weather, but if it's pouring down, a rain garment should go over it. Then you adjust for ventilating the perspiration out of it or - you get wet anyway. There are times when it's just not worth the bother of adding a wet weather shell over 65F if hypothermia isn't a risk.PS there are spray silicones, seam sealers, and other treatments to potentially improve performance,
