Not a bad wax stand
You need a tea candle. This set up is okay but can get messy, be sure to get the correct wax so that it will melt properly.

This is absolutely perfect! And definitely worth the money!

Ineffective
Tiny flame from votive candle not close enough to the spoon, nor hot enough to heat the spoon. Melting wax with this device would take 2 hours. Best to stay with wick or wickless wax and a lighter.
