Hot on Her Heels (Lone Star Sisters, Book 4) Mass Market Paperback – October 27, 2009

A hot, romantic novel. The last one of the 4 novels in the Titan girl's saga. This one is very much in the style of Nora Roberts, so if you like her books, you will probably like this one. No paranormal stuff or witches or anything, just standard boy meets girl, they live in different worlds, don't have much in common but the chemistry is HOT. Mixed in is the story of who is at fault for the explosion that nearly kills one of the Titan sisters (in the previous book to this one) and is the protagonist, Garth, a good guy or a bad guy? Since he is rich, good looking, with a difficult past, and is smart, fair, and in the end, good hearted, and falls in love with Dana, our heroine, the answer is not a surprise. But the fun is getting there and reading about it.

I really enjoy the way Susan Mallery writes her series books except I wish she would let people know before they buy them what order she wrote her books! I will read one of the Lone Star Sisters books & then the next one I read will tell me something about the character I already know how it ended! Do you understand what I mean? For instance in the one book I read about Izzy being blinded from an oil well explosion & now I am reading about her going to the oil well place! So you see I already know the outcome & I already know who is behind it! I would like to read her books in order when she has a series! Otherwise I love reading those kind of books! Thank you! I hope you understand what I am trying to say!

This book was a great finish to a great series! I had my doubts about if I would like this book or not based only upon the main characters chosen for this final book. Garth had been such a horrible character for the rest of the series I thought how could I ever possibly come to the point where I wanted him to end up happy. I was wrong, he charmed his way right into my heart and this book ended up being one of my favorite out of this series. This book was fantastic not only for its great story line of the two main characters in it but, for the way that it wrapped up the story about all of the other characters that had been involved along the way. I was sorry to see this series end but, enjoyed every moment I spent reading it.

I need to say that this is a very specific genre. It the formula, editor set length and serial novels are not to your taste then I suggest you skip it. I believe this to be the best of the four and its another book I have in my on-line collection because I enjoy re-reading it on occasion. Some of the characters in the series are not as believable as the central couple in this one. Yes, it was predictable -duh, it's a romance. But it's enjoyable seeing them achieve that predictable end and the best part is there's a warmeth and humor to the characters that develops and make it an enjoy, warm read.

This was a great ending to the series. The book brought Garth's story to the reader. The series from the first book through this book is about the Titan children including the "bastard" son Garth as Jed (the father) called him and his three daughters. You learn to hate Jed pretty much from the get go and will see why Garth is doing what he is doing just not to the right people at first. So happy Dana got her own book. She deserved it. While I love this series, this book seemed forced. It just didn't have the same feel as the others. It was like, Dana and Garth got together, had a fight, got back together, had another fight, etc. Im sorry. Like I said, I enjoy the story and direction of this series but I guess I just expected more in depth coverage of this couple compared to the sisters.

Mallery's books are such a pleasure to read that they are almost impossible to put down once opened. Not only are they wonderful love stories that include tingling sex, but they are also full of stories among friendsas well as lovers and past as well as present. All of her books are almost impossible to put down once the first chapter is read.

The book was very good. The series is excellent and I give it an overall 5 star. This book was a bit of a let down from the other 3 which were sharp, page turning, keep reading. Book 4 had answers that the other 3 books left the reader hanging on to find out. Easy read... I read books 1 - 3 in 3 days, while still working!

This is a story about revenge that turned into love. A brother they did not know about who wanted to bring them down. But Garth just found love. They loved him into their family. He meets Dana and they have chemistry which turns into love but not before going through some rather dramatic situations.

Sie wechseln die Seiten.. ihnen behilflich ist ihre beste Freundin Dana.. die bald mehr für Garth zu empfinden scheint. Doch auch sie hat ihre Geheimnisse, die sie nun einzuholen drohen.Es ist unglaublich schön, lieb gewonnene Figuren wieder zu treffen. Ich habe die Buchstaben förmlich aus dem Buch gelesen.Ich hätte gerne gewußt, wie es dann weitergeht... aber nun ja.. ich will ja nicht zu viel verraten.Auf jeden Fall ist dieses Buch auch sehr spannend.. denn gerade der Konflikt zwischen Garth und Jed muss ja irgendwann eskalieren.. die Frage ist: wie werden beide reagieren... und wozu sind beide fähig?..LESEN LESEN LESEN ... und alles andere ausblenden.. denn man kann nicht einfach aufhören.

Good finish to Susan Mallery's series. I enjoyed it.
