Update below: These packets of 4 are really convenient if they’re on the go. The ingredients are Certified NSF and are manufactured in California, which is very tough on supplement manufacturers for making a clean product. They’re sealed well, arrived quickly and come in a nice box that’s made to have them organized and easy to grab and go. I love these things because hydration is a big part of everyday life for me. The only thing I’d add is that these are definitely for convenience for someone on the go because, otherwise, I’d probably get a bottle of them for a cheaper price since I’m watching my funds more these days. Update: I’ve tried the regular blue bottle of 100 capsules too and I’m still loving these things. Also, you lose the convenience of the packets but, these are much kinder to the wallet, so to speak. Either way, I’m very happy with my hydration levels when taking these things.

I have been using SaltStick products for many years. I am a marathon runner who sweats profusely and needs to replenish my electrolytes constantly during long runs. I have used these electrolyte caps for long training runs (15+ miles) and on race day and they have served me incredibly well. My cramping has decreased to practically zero and I feel that it gives me a leg up.These capsules are super easy to swallow and have no taste whatsoever. I will say, that it is a bit of a drag to have to remember to take them every half hour, but that's just your race strategy and the reality of running long distances, and not a flaw of the product.Before these individually wrapped capsules, I would take a handful of them, put them in a ziplock bag and pray they didn't fall apart. With these individually wrapped packets, they are super convenient to take and store in my running backpack. They are easy to tear and can be opened easily while running.I will say, the only downside of these individually wrapped packets (4 per packet) is that they are more expensive than buying in bulk, but you are paying for that convenience.If you are a long distance runner that sweats a ton, needs more electrolytes conveniently accessible, and are willing to pay more for that convenience , then this is the perfect product for you.

Update (10/29/22): Wife took one capsule with water, and experienced very bad heartburn. If you're sensitive to that, maybe dissolving the capsule in a drink would work better.Summary: When it comes to electrolyte sports drinks, there are lots of offerings. The downside to these are you are intaking water, which can be both good and bad. Everyone's body is different, and some people excrete more salt and minerals than others. Reviewed a similar product (SOLPRI), which could be bought at varying sodium levels. These salt capsules by SALTSTICK are purpose built for that purpose (sodium and electrolyte replacement).Observations: With food, our family is fairly health conscious, so we get most of our groceries from Whole Foods. In addition to being organic, the "Country of Origin" is very important to us. However, these SALTSTICK products do not specify country of origin on either the product details, nor the product images. These are packaged as 4 capsules, per packet. By the math, 24 packets, 4 capsules, is 96 servings (not 100 as the product image states).Recommendations: Everyone's taste is different; some products are too sweet, others too salty; it's all relative.
