Read this first before buying
If your dog has separation anxiety and goes into barking fits, this probably won't work for you either. I have read the instructions and am reinforcing "no" when my dog is barking and this is not effective at even reducing the barking. First off, the beep is long and doesn't come on with each bark, it is also activated by a subtle whimper, so I don't think the dog really gets that the barking or your word, "no" are related to them barking. Additionally, the beep is kind of a low sound. It is not loud or attention getting. The vibration is also minimal. Seems to be waste of $40 in my current opinion. I will continue trying for a few more days and update this review if anything changes.

Good for small dogs
I would give it a five, but I can't speak for how long they last. Got these for two dachshunds. It took us a while to get them to fit, and then we had to cut a bit of the collar off -there was 5 inch's of collar left over. That's quibbling though, I know. If you want to spend twice as much for a little less work, go ahead. We had to turn the sensitivity down on one, as it went off when I don't think it should have. The adjustment worked. After we had everything dialed in and the collars fitting, they work like a charm. They figured it out quick, and they were quiet quick. After taking them off our buddy's, they are still quieter than usual. They work!

CITRUS COLLAR DIDN'T WORK FOR HIM, BUT THIS ONE DOES. KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR EVERY DOG. IN THAT CASE, TRY THE CITRUS. WORKS ON MY SON'S DOG, BUT THIS COLLAR DOESN'T. I'D GIVE FIVE STARS IF MY DOG DIDN'T LEARN HOW TO FAUX BARK AND LOW GROWL. MOSTLY, IT DOES KEEP ME FROM GOING INSANE WHEN A FEATHER FLOATS BY OUTSIDE AND HE SENSES DANGER.

I had to review because I feel like this collar has changed my life
I had to review because I feel like this collar has changed my life! I decided on this based on the price, reviews, the fact that it does not harm the dog, and that she wears it so it will deter barking everywhere (inside house, backyard, etc). We live on a busy corner and my dog was going crazy all the time--this has stopped her barking!! One thing I love that I hadn't even realized when I bought this collar is that I can now take my dog on walks without worrying that she will attack-dog-bark at other dogs. It's seriously SO much better!! I also love that it charges in the computer so I don't have to worry about batteries either. Such a fan!

but this collar is great. There is no shock
I had my doubts, but this collar is great. There is no shock, only vibration and beeps, and it stopped my dogs chronic barking almost immediately. It helps keep her calmer overall too, since she's not increasing her excitement level by barking.

Doesn’t work for stubborn dog
It’s a good barking collar for a dog that is not stubborn. My dog is very stubborn and will still bark. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for him. He’s a lhasa apso/shih tzu mix and loves to bark at cats and other dogs. I really love how safe this barking collar though! It just saddened me that it didn’t work for him and had to return it.

Highly recommend this collar to control a barking dog!
Highly recommend this product!! This has been a awesome collar for our large yelping dog!! It works very well and doesn’t hurt our dog at all!!!

Didn’t work for our dogs
We made the mistake of buying two of these based on the reviews. We have 2 collies, which are pretty mild mannered, but due tend to excessively bark at night. At first they responded to the bark collars, but then over time they continued to bark anyway. I wouldn’t recommend.
