Pleasantly Surpised with Ease if Shipping and Assembly
This ladder is very sturdy and I feel safer than on a regular ladder. I have a storage area above a garage that is a bit higher than average. I tried accessing using a regular ladder but it folding ladder but it wasn’t safe due to not being high enough. Also trying to carry boxes up using the narrow steps was precarious. I looked online for warehouse style ladder sure that they would be well over my price range. In fact many far exceeded a thousand dollars. I was surprised to see this Tri-Arc ladder for about $600. I was hesitant to order because I’ve never spent so much for such a large item to ship from Amazon. I was even more hesitant reading a few reviews about it being hard to put together with poor instructions.I’m so pleased I went ahead with the order. Although I was worried about the delivery it went flawlessly. About a week before the scheduled delivery date I received a call from the shipping company. They were very pleasant and helpful. They scheduled a 4 hour delivery window on a day and time that worked for me. The ladder arrived on schedule. They carried the very large heavy shipment into my garage for me which really helped since I had to wait until the weekend to assemble. The pieces came well secured to a double long pallet. Basically two pallets secured together.I found the assembly process fairly straight forward. I only needed a couple of socket wrenches. The instructions were decent and there was very little confusion once I oriented myself to the pieces. The most difficult aspect was that the ladder is very heavy when I had to move it. I should add that I’m a middle aged woman with some experience with minor DIY experience. However I’m certainly not highly mechanical nor am I particularly strong. I’m an office worker. No heavy labor for me. :) Even so I managed well.Overall I think it took me about 4 hours to assemble. Part of that time was re-attaching a couple of pieces that I put together in the wrong spot. Ugh. I’m a bit impatient and glossed over some of the instructions. About 15-20 minutes later my mistake was corrected. There was one nut/ bolt that I found difficult to get aligned on the upper safety rail but it eventually went in right. One note: There are two different safety rails at the top depending on whether you use the extended step. So you have to figure out which to use but it was easy to determine.I did end up with many extra bolds and pieces. I’ve checked and double checked to make sure everything is secure so it seems I may have just received an extra package of hardware. The ladder is heavy but it rolls. It has a step which secures the wheels so it doesn’t roll when climbing.Overall I highly recommend this ladder. I’ll update again after I’ve had time to thoroughly use.

Perfect for getting onto a 1 story roof
Can't climb vertical rung ladders anymore but still wanted to be able to do my own roof work. Bought this "Made in the USA" 10 step ladder and used a safety cable around the chimney to make sure it can't pull away from the house. It's steel so it will need to be covered for the Winter. It works perfectly. Was able to carry heavy roofing materials up in a very safe way. Thought of building wood steps up but opted for this ladder. I was able to assemble and mount it by myself. Very happy with this purchase.

The steps are 10"
I was fooled by the "sold by the step" listing, the steps are 10" not the more standard 8". So my ladder turned out a foot higher than planned. Also, if you order the type with extended top platform, what you get is a ladder pre-assembled without platform, and you have to take it apart to add the platform, and then put it back together. Be aware that the ladder comes in one piece on a single 15 ft pallet - you need a forklift to unload as it will not fit on a liftgate.

Well Built, Instructions a bit iffy. Read the boxed instructions FIRST!
Basically got what I ordered, and it appears as if it will work fine. Directions were a bit tricky, describing some parts that were not included in what I got. Don't think I got shorted, just think the instructions were out of date. Product appears to be well made. Note that it ships in basically 2 parts: the main stairway, and a boxed kit which extends the top step and lengthens the overall unit. Open the box first! It requires you to disassemble some of the preconfigured parts. If you go through the instructions with the main stairway first, you will end up undoing/redoing.Stair is quite easy to maneuver around and locks into place with weight on first step. Feels quite stable even when on top step.

Perfect for our need
I'm a home owner that needed a safe ladder. We moved into a house with a large third garage bay with very high shelves. It was too dangerous for my wife to be carrying the boxes and bins up the regular ladder. This is absolutely perfect for our need. We got the six step with the platform. Spendy for a ladder but well worth it from a safety standpoint. The assembly was tricky but easier than I thought it would be after reading all the reviews. My 14 year old daughter helped me and we made it a project. There are two sets of instructions to maneuver between and you will have extra nuts and bolts when all done.My advice to make it as painless as possible. Lay out all the pieces before you begin. Read through each set of instructions multiple times identifying the different pieces until you understand the flow of instructions and when you will need to switch between them. I had to read through them three to four times. Go through each bag of nuts and bolts and lay them out so you know which size is which and how many there are. Grab little sandwich bags and read through the instructions and for each section collect the appropriate nuts and bolts and keep that bag with the piece. For us it took about three hours total. One hour of studying and sorting and two hours of assembly. It ended up being a fun project for us.

Great product
Because of a medical issue being on a ladder can be both painful and dangerous for me. I ordered this for my home because if it allows me to safely do the things I need to do and if it saves me for just one trip to the ER it easily pays for itself. I love it, I have the three step model and it gives me alot of safety and security. I can once again change the bulds, repair the light fixtures, paint the rooms, change the air filter,... all the stuff you take for granted until climbing a ladder becomes a dangerous activity.
