I wasted my money by being cheap.
Why didn't I buy something well built and reputable? :( Despite a lot of time installing and removing drivers the screen kept coming in and out. In the end, I cut my losses and shelved it, replaced by a more expensive, though functioning, adapter. I wasted money by being cheap.

Not working but cheap enough that it isn't worth going thru the refund process.
Hooked it up to a laptop that also has a VGA port. The connection to the VGA port works fine for the display I have. I tried the USB connection and the monitor was flickery and only showed on the top half of the display. I could find no way to re-config the output so it would display as well as the VGA output was.

It works
So happy with this purchase! It was exactly what I needed for my second computer screen! I use this to add a second screen to my computer so I cam project only what is on the second display.
