American Owned Savvy Outdoors Back Pack Chair or Backpack Cooler Chair, Portable Lightweight Stool

I bought one for my mom in Florida and two for myself. My mom attends outdoor concerts in her retirement village and having a lightweight chair with a pocket for her water bottle is ideal. She is not sure she will the backpack feature. I almost wish there was a carrying bag option too or a way to make it easy for her to carry if she does not want to carry it as a backpack. The height of the chair and its weight is perfect for her and because she is in Florida, having convenient access to her water bottle is a terrific feature. The company offers another option of a chair with a back that comes in a carrying bag, but it did not have an outside pocket and is a little lower to the ground. Both versions are sturdy. This is a great company in terms of both quality and service. There was an error with the original order and the company went out of their way to solve it quickly. Other than a carrying bag for the backpack version, my only other wish would be a set of instructions since the backpack straps needed to be connected as well as the Velcro straps. I was trying to help my mom through a long distance phone call before my chair arrived and I was having trouble figuring out what I needed to help her put together She told me that she was not sure it was a backpack...but iI realized after I received mine that was because the straps were not connected... It is intuitive for most of us, but for an older person not used to backpacks, the straps and Velcro might be a bit confusing....there is also a small bag on one of the straps that I think is meant for a cell phone, but I am not 100% sure. A set of instructions with a drawing might be really helpful. This was a win for both me and my mom.

After posting the 2-star review below, we returned home from our Disney World trip to find that the company had delivered a replacement backpack to our home. Both of the backpacks we originally purchased frayed, and so we recommend sealing the ends of the nylon straps with heat (a heat gun or match to melt the plastic). These seats were absolute feet-savers for 2-hour + lines at Disney. Several Disney staff were fascinated and complimented the backpacks as very smart. We'd like to point out to future back-pack chair owners that Disney has a habit of banning new inventions that they see as disruptive to the park (selfie sticks, wheelie shoes, etc). So please- if you take a backpack chair - be respectful to other guests by moving your seat up when the line advances and not obstructing any pathways. We hope to be able to use these great bags for many more trips to theme parks.Prior Review: Great concept, poor execution. We purchased two of these backpacks for a Disney World trip. The seats are great for waiting in long lines and the cooler area is adequate. However, the quality of the straps is poor. Before we had even worn it for the first time, the strap on one bag began to unravel. (See picture) Also, the straps are not comfortable as they are only partially padded. On the positive side, we had no trouble getting these bags into Disney World parks, as they appear to meet the dimensions restrictions.

Bought 2 different brands of this type of bag because I wanted one in black. Ended up returning the other brand and keeping this one. The Savvy Girl brand sits on your back better as it rides higher up, has more comfortable shoulder straps and the stool legs are more secure. The pockets are great for easy access and when using the chair, the straps have a mesh pocket to fit in keeping them out of the way of the legs. The stool itself felt sturdier than the other brand and the seat is padded and wider. It has the appearance of being a small backpack but was actually roomy and fit everything I needed and felt light to carry. Great product.

I took this on our trip to Portugal and Malta. It held everything from purse contents to groceries, and even successfully carried a bag of ice home in 90 degree weather. I found the seat to be comfortable and convenient for my XL body, whether waiting on public transportation or any other place that public seating was unavailable. I wouldn't recommend a dress tho, as the seat is so low and the most comfortable position isn't the most lady-like. After a month of use, the stitching is loosening in places, but I feel I've gotten my money's worth and would buy again if needed.

Attended a few outdoor dog shows and needed something to sit on while waiting for ring time. This product is perfect. Dog treats, poop bags, water , etc. fit in the backpack portion of the chair. One of the greatest tools for outdoor dog shows, when you don't want to set up. (Set-up involves dog crates, chair, sun-protection, etc.) For a quick set-up - one that I used during this pandemic at dog shows - it's just so handy. It will be useful at indoor shows, too, when chairs aren't available ringside. Purse, wallet, etc. fit in the backpack portion. Love it. Good price. Handy. Easy to carry. A great tool.

Love everything about this product minus the durability. I've used it 4 times at in door dog shows as my catch all / foot rest. Some of the internal seams have come lose from this light use and my reason for 3 stars. 5 stars if the seams had held longer than 4 light uses..
