Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylic Color, 60ml (2-oz) Tube, Red Ochre

This paint is thin, but a gorgeous color. Mixed with gloss medium, I use it for almost transparent highlights. This brand dries the same color as it is wet too.

I have used Windsor-Newton since the 70's and love it - I use the acrylic and love the copper; however, the tube I just bought is dry and flaky and hard to get out of the tube. This is so NOT what I am used to. It's a hassle to send anything back righ now but I can not use this. I gave it a two because I do love the brand but there is something wrong with this tube. They refunded me - I am happy - now 5 stars. GREAT Paint.

I bought several colors and happy with them all. Great coverage and beautiful color. I use primarily on wood product and canvas. The gold and silver have a nice shimmer and cover nicely and aren’t thin like other shimmery paints I have bought before. I recommend buying several colors!!

Not quite as thick as expected, but still great paint. Mixes well with other paints. Creamy texture.

I use this paint in various repair projects, mostly for wood repairs by adding it to clear Polyurethane coat to match the wood tone. The paint has beautiful intense color and is very smooth, so it mixes easily with both - water or oil base products. I even mixed it with Minwax wood filler to match the color of furniture piece and it worked very well. Also when used as paint it goes on any surface very smoothly and one coat gives complete smooth coverage. Excellent quality paint.

Game changer once you figure out what titanium white does to your acrylics!

The paint was good.

I've used a lot of W&N products, including Galleria years ago when I started painting again. So I did not expect Galleria Opera Rose acrylic paint to be so disappointing. It's not well pigmented, practically a tint. It feels rubbery and gooey, not like I remember from 20 years ago. It also has a bizarre smell, kind of like chalk mixed with fish. The color is beautiful, but don't bother with this paint. If I were a newbie, it would make me not want to paint. Windsor & Newton, you need to step it up.
