This is my first time trying gel x so the application isn’t perfect. Still, it turned out better than I had expected. The kit is very easy to use and good quality especially for the price. My hands shake a lot so I have issues doing my non-dominant hand but I did it with this kit no problem. Some comments mentioned that the lamp didn’t work for them, but I had no issues with it. After I cured them, I cut and filed them down to shape and I’ll be using gel polish on them later. The only thing I would recommend is buffing the nails before applying gel polish because the smooth surface can cause the gel to peel off or chip quicker. This a great inexpensive kit for people who want to try out gel x without spending too much money.

I was new to this process and this set made it super easy. The nail’s definitely take trial and error to get right. I found it a lighter harder with how curved my nail bed is, but that’s more of a “me” thing lol. But I eventually got it right, and they were very long lasting. I was able to just fill them and had them on for atleast a month. The only thing I’d say is, I wish the light was flexible to make it easier to cure. The space is very small and made it hard to keep the nail in place as I was holding it to stay curved with my natural nail curve. Overall it is a really good set though.

As a beginner this product is a good way to learn to do gel extensions! With proper application and prep I had retention of 2 weeks ! Note that with any products it is important to understand how to use the products safely and properly. The lamp that it comes with is only for flash curing and will need a lamp with stronger wattage to fully cure.

Well, I did like the tips but they are way longer than showed in the picture and that is misleading. In the picture is the set I did using them but I had to file them to my desired lenght which I was hoping to avoid with these... I did like the little lamp to set the tips and the nail glue at least Too bas they are so long, that's the only reason I don't give full starts so if you want long almond shaped nails, these are for you.

I got this kit when it was on a crazy good sale and was super excited to try a new kit (i had only tried the bete gel x kit prior) and this was such a big let down. I could do my nails on a tuesday and they start lifting by that saturday (that’s been my experience this application time specifically which urged me to review but for the past few months of trying/using this kit basically the same turn around time after every application). With the bete kit i never had this issue and they would last 3-4 weeks every time and that’s what i expected with this kit as well as i haven’t changed anything i’m doing in terms of nail prep. don’t waste your money or time on this one, i’m going back to the bete kit even though it bugs me to leave so much product unused with this one i just can’t stand it anymore. i feel like i put a good amount of time into my prep and design of my nails and want them to last me that 3-4 week at a time but i would even settle for 2 and since i can’t even make it a full week i see no point.EDIT: i don’t know if this plays a factor into the longevity (i honestly don’t think it would) but i’ve gotten contact dermatitis with this product as well. i’ve never experienced this before and i’m typically not super sensitive/allergic to anything - even if you still want to give this product a shot just be careful if you tend to react more to certain ingredients. just ordered another bete set and cannot WAIT to be back to normal without this product. sorry modelones, we had a itchy and irritated run and i’m glad it’s over.
