These did the trick! They look nice, were really affordable and took me about 15 minutes to clip them together and secure them in place. I knocked off a star because the bottom half comes in a nice matte black finish, but the pyramid on top came in a high gloss black. They looked really weird so I just bought a can of matte black car spray paint and hit all the pyramids with that before clipping the pieces together. I specifically used "rustoleum matte finish custom shop black" for anyone that wants the exact match for the bottom half of the caps. All in All, these caps were half the price of the ones at home depot and the fact that I could just glue them in place made them idiot-proof to install. It turned out to be a nice little upgrade to our first home that I didn't need my husband or power tools for.

These were very easy to install and look great on our newly remodeled deck.UPDATE: While these were nice and matching white at first after some time (less than a year) it is clear different materials were used. Some are still white, some have changed to off white. And others are mixed 50/50. If I ordered more not even sure if I’ll get the ones that stay white or the color changing ones, what a gamble.

Very unhappy with this product! Purchased last August and they have all turned yellowish and have mildew on them. I can get rid of the mildew but, I cannot turn them white! Looks terrible against the white of the railing and posts! I spent enough money and now it's just a waste! Will be replacing!

Of course you'll want to put a small amount of adhesive inside the cap mounting surface to ensure the cap is not bumped off easily.

I ordered one of these to try as I'm unsure of what color I want on our wood posts. I hated the look and feel of this plastic, and it looks too big for my 3.5" square deck posts. Just went to return it and have to pay for shipping, which would give me a measly $0.40 back!?! Not even worth the effort. What a waste.

I tried to use these on standard, treated 4x4 fence posts. Because they are designed to fit multiple sizes, in my case there was a noticeable gap between the post and the cap. It simply did not look right so I exchanged them for different brand. Perhaps seller should post a photo that shows this gap, I imagine others might agree. As far as quality, seemed good and worthy of at least a few seasons outdoors.

The description said this would fit a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2“ post. It is too loose and the edges hang way over the post shoddy and very cheesy (low quality). Just went to return it and it is not eligible to return, so guess I just gave my money away. buyer beware.

I was searching for a reasonably priced cap that fit composite (Fusion from Menards) sleeves. These were a little tight requiring sanding the edge of the sleeve to get them started but it worked well. I like that the screws are hidden under the top of the snap on cap. It's a nice clean look.

Unfortunately one of three caps arrived defective so I was immediately refunded by the vendor. Poor manufacturing/quality control. The other two worked fine. They are designed to fit both 3.5 and true 4 inch posts but the mounting recesses are in fact 3.75 and 4.25 which makes centering them slightly more difficult. They are made out of a hard plastic material and time will tell how well the paint holds up. Very reasonable price though. They look good up. Made in China.
