McFarlane Toys Destiny Vault of Glass Titan Action Figure
Destiny 2 debuted yesterday and after playing the beta (as well as the beta for the first Destiny and about 600 hours in actual game) I was very excited to get my hands on this sequel. Only 2 hours in and it’s great. Being a fan of the series since the launch of Destiny on September 9th 2014, we’ve not gotten much in the way of merchandise. The Bungie store puts out some great stuff from time to time, and ThreeA released some great 1/6 scale Destiny figures (I’m a Warlock guy so I got a Warlock) but those are pricey, luckily McFarlane is releasing affordable 1/12 scale Destiny figures. So far we’ve gotten this Warlock (Kings Fall gear), a Hunter (Iron Banner gear) and a Titan (Vault of Glass gear) and will be getting Lord Saladin next month. This is McFarlane, so if you’ve gotten any of their latest Color Tops figures or any of their Walking Dead figures from the last few years, you’ll know what to expect in terms of detail, paint applications and accessories and articulation.Granted I’d have preferred McFarlane went the route they did with their Halo figures and just made the armor pieces removable so you could customize your Guardian like in the game (though you can easily interchange the figures weapons with one another I suppose). I prefer to play as a Warlock but my 2nd favorite class is the Titan. The detail is great all around, the paint deco and applications are really nice, you may have some slop or missed portions but this is a $20 figure so it’s to be expected. McFarlane is still using their traditional ratcheted joints in some areas, really hard plastics for certain things that can make posing or getting accessories into figures hands rather, annoying. I’m glad these have more articulation than most of the Color Top series McFarlane has been doing of late, and I really like the collector friendly packaging they went with for this series. Hopefully McFarlane just makes a weapons pack that has all sorts of guns that can be used with any figure. Each Guardian figure comes with their own Ghost (as they should), I’d have liked if there was a clear stand for it, or maybe a peg hole and an alternate hand with a peg so you could have the figure hold it better. But hey, I’m just glad they include Ghosts and that each figure’s Ghost has a different shell. This Vault of Glass Titan comes with the Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher and Invective Shotgun, as well as his Ghost and display base (included with each figure). Neither one of those weapons are weapons I use, but they look great and are painted well especially the Gjallarhorn (stopped using it after it was nerfed and easier to get), they’re just a pain to get in the figures hands. For $20 these are great, I am an avid Destiny fan and a huge action figure collector, I’m used to paying high prices for import figures and things so getting really detailed and well painted figures for $20 is nice. I think out of the 3 figures released so far the Titan has the coolest paint job, I like that it’s metallic. Any Destiny fan I think will be mostly pretty happy with these Destiny figures. Now hopefully we will get some Fallen, Cabal, Vex villain figures or some more main characters like Cayde 6. I’m glad Destiny is back, I’m excited and these figures just get me more excited to return to the worlds of Destiny. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

A bit dissapointing
While the general sculpt was cool, the painting was mildly shoddy. However, my main problems are the articulation and hands. The articulation is very stiff and has a very limited degree of movement, with some of the joints being loose. The hands are also far too tight to hold any of the weapons and i fear that i'll break them if i try to do it.

Now this is what an action figure is all About
I bought this for my kid, as a Xmas present and he is so happy with it (me too because i love destiny videogame) these figures are really well made, nicely painted and with a very high attention to details, with a lot of articulations, this particular character (Titan) comes with the Invective shotgun and the Iron Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher, and the vault of glass armor set. This is beyond my expectations and all i can say is McFarlane Toys are one of the best out there

I love the Vault of Glass set for the Titan
I love the Vault of Glass set for the Titan, it's always been one of my favorites even if ingame I've never had enough luck to get the armor at all in the original raid. The guns are surprisingly sturdy, but the peg to stick the shotgun onto the Titan's back broke immediately when I tried to remove it so now I currently can't attach anything to his back. I haven't had any luck with getting him to hold his weapons as the hands are too stiff to get the handle in.I bought the Titan and the Warlock, but I think the Titan figure is the better one.

This is really a good compromise between detail and price
This is really a good compromise between detail and price, what you got is a really cool figure of a Titan with full Vog Armor plus Gjallarhorn plus invective, this guy is kinda rigid and you cant do too many poses so if you are looking for a destiny figure with lots of movility then you should look for the $150 ones, but if you just want a Destiny figure that looks badass standing still then this is the best choice you have.

Really sad to have to give it 3/5 instead of 5/5
I purchased all 3 at once as I prepare for D2 to arrive because I'm a huge Destiny fan and these would have looked perfect on my Destiny shelf. And they do. They look amazing. On appearance alone, I would have given it 5/5 stars. However, the figures are SO ANNOYING to try to fit the weapons into their hands. So I am copying and pasting this review to all 3 products. Picture attached to show how they look but I cannot stress enough how much I hated trying to get them to hold their weapons. On some characters I just gave up and had them hold their weapons in stupid and awkward ways just to get it over with - at least they were holding the weapons and nothing had snapped off and that was the best outcome I could have.Of the 3 guardians, the Titan was the easiest, which is the best thing I can say for it because all that means is I wasn't afraid that at any time I might end up snapping his thumb trying to get the weapon on. I gave up with the shotgun and had him put on a Gjallarhorn instead.

Great detail but...
Detail is great but it is very brittle pegs the hold weapons on the back break off just swapping the weapons with little to no force pulling straight out the rest of the shotgun mounting peg is left in the back of the figure so I can't mount the rocket launcher on his back

Eyes up guardians
Bought this as a christmas present for my orher half, we are both Destiny mad. I was a little disappointed with the size and it doesn't look to be very solid looks like it will break if taken out the packaging but this is something that wont happen until Christmas day

Oof
The posability is ... yikes. The weapons do not fit in the hands and it seems like it is less balanced than The Last Word. Besides that its sturdily made and the figure and accessories are decently detailed so if you're able to fight it into a nice pose it looks pretty sweet.

... with my Grandsons age group and they do look good. However
I realise that these figures are very popular with my Grandsons age group and they do look good. However, I think they could be more reasonably priced.
