Acceptable Quality to get the job done.
For the PRICE this gun is unbeatable for medium sized jobs for DIYers. The pressure valve and inner workings are flimsey, but good enough to get the occasional job done. Considering, you can use regular -CHAEP- PROPERLY THINNED mud in the gun, this thing pays itself off after the first use. Expecially, considering most texture guns that are made for smaller DIY projects are more expensive and use extremely expensive proprietary mud mixtures in small size packages. For orange peel, the mud needs to be thinned a little more than for rougher testures. Make sure to TEST the nozzle-mud combination before using it on your project. Great for remodel projects where single walls or single rooms need re-texturing.

Worked great
I’m finishing the basement of my home built in 1972. I wanted to match the orange peel texture in the new portion of the basement with the rest of the house. I was worried I would have to buy about 100 aerosol cans of orange peel texture, but bought this instead and it worked amazing. I went through about two buckets of “topping“ mud mixed with some water. It went on very quick and easy. The only tip I’d give to someone is that the little nut that holds the red switch that opens and closes the air compressor air supply came off for me. Fortunately, I found the pieces, but make sure that that the nut is on tight.

Happy with this texture sprayer
Recognizing that it was impractical to buy a bunch of those spray cans of texture from the big box store to texture the walls of our bathroom after removing wallpaper, but also not being terribly thrilled about spending $100+, I decided to try this relatively inexpensive sprayer. It worked perfectly for the project (around 225 sq ft of wall), used the smallest tip and sprayed premixed joint compound thinned to the consistency of pancake batter.I'd say the only minor hiccup was the fact that the included male quick connect fitting needed to be screwed onto the shutoff valve, but leaked air (presumably needed teflon tape, which I'm sure I have somewhere in my house but couldn't locate).I wasn't sure if my particular compressor (a relatively small 6gal 1.5hp pancake style) would be up to the task, but it worked ok. Set it to about 40-50psi, and it sprayed ok, but I did need to pause occasionally to let the compressor "catch up".

Instructions? No
Price is right, it worked well. As promised on their web site, it IS easy to use. What I learned was from reviews here.3 nozzles, small, medium, and large. In order; popcorn ceiling, orange peel, and knock down.Operation: once assembled, mix joint compound to "pancake batter" consistency or less. What that means is when mixer is removed, no peaks in compound. And a bit more water for smoother operation.Air pressure 50 psi or slightly higher.Once filled, pull the trigger THEN open the air valve or you loose lots of air from tank.I also really like the size of the hopper. I've had "professional grade" guns. They were VERY heavy when full. This hopper is manageable.Suggestion for manufacturer: include or offer a filling stand so you can fill the hopper without help.Complaint; pin holding trigger to handle fell out because e-washer broke. 6mm bolt can replace it about 25-30 mm long (1"-1 1/4") and nylok nut holds in place. I added 4 6mm washers to make operation smoother.
