Even though the app doesn’t actually work this little thing is really fast, and seems to be more accurate than my finicky Edge monitor. Test strips are more expensive but it’s starts off $100 cheaper so…Really intuitive, put a strip in, it automatically selects lactic and mmol units, drop of blood on the strip and 3 seconds later - boom. Easy.

I bought this product since I wanted something fast, reliable and simple. Yes, it measures only total cholesterol but if your cholesterol is high you can monitor it if you are going the right direction.This product will also help you to assess if your cholesterol changes abruptly depending on your diet and help you eliminate foods that could be triggering high cholesterol.

I liked the price, but the test strips are very fragile. Merely opening the package or jostling the test strip in the device will cause an error. At $3/strip, it is expensive to test.For instance, today it took 8 strips to get 4 successful tests. I was super careful, but got the dreaded "E-F" code 4 times. Merely touching the strip while trying to deposit the blood drop caused the error. Please note: you need a really big drop of blood or it won't read (E-F). The lance is not strong enough to poke my skin so I had to take the cover off and do it manually.In the real world, it is not robust enough to use. Too fragile.

I wasn't too happy with this product after having some trouble with the rest strips. But the company reached out & sent replacement strips so I could give it another shot.Full disclosure, I'm rewriting my review & updating it to 4 stars because the customer service was exceptional.If I can offer a couple pieces of advice to help anyone avoid experiencing the trouble I did with these, I would say to do the following...When you do the finger prick, make sure your hands are completely dry after you wash them.Once you puncture your skin, wipe it & use the second drop of blood, not the first.Most importantly, if you look closely at the test strips, there is a tiny hole for the sample of blood to be deposited in. Make sure you get enough into it & avoid smearing.These 3 things helped ensure that I got a reading instead of having to throw the strip away & use a new one.Hope this is helpful.

I almost spent the money on the more expensive brand. This works fine I had a little trouble in the beginning. Customer service was excellent and explained how to work it. No issues since.Glad I didn't spent the extra money on the more expensive devices.
