Vocabulary from Latin and Greek Roots: Level XI

After working our way through volumes 3 and 4, we've gotten to 5 now, and what can I say? Same great quality, very useful, not too dull or boring, and very educational. We're using these for home schooling (English), grade 9, which may not be the perfect level they usually recommend them for, but we've got a precocious reader on our hands, and so we just keep ordering the next one. So far, it's been great. Perfect balance between scholarship and fun.

I've been using this series with my high school English classes for four years with great results. The publisher posts study sets on Quizlet and is responsive to communication. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This series of Vocabulary from Latin and Greek roots is an excellent supplement to regular school work. I had my child use it during summer break to expand vocabulary

Not sure what happened with this version, but the typos, misspellings, completely incorrect use of roots, and the confusing and awful sentences used as examples make this book the worst vocabulary book for high schoolers I've ever used. I have used this book for one semester with my students and will not use it again. Also, many of the words are archaic and have passed out of common use and not are not relevant for the SAT or the AP.

Extensive word list, well organized, good layout and includes comprehension and retention checks. I am very satisfied with this product. Thanks. I teach middle school gifted kids.
