Good! Defaults to OFF, so doesn't work with ignition switch.
Tried with a tablet and a phone simultaneously and both fast charged, so it seems to work. My mistake is that I didn't read that this STARTS ON THE OFF position, so you have to press the switch after turning on the ignition. BIG downside as my install is far away from the driving seat. !!!

convert old lighter round plugs to modern cable ports
This pair of USB car socket adapters were purchased to replace the existing 12 volt round power sockets in our wheelchair truck to USB charging ports. We already had a few of the adapters with a built in fuse that would push into these existing sockets and thenthose would wobble out and lose connection. Most of these push in adapters would only have 1 or sometimes 2 USB Type A female ports. This set provides 1 full size Type A and 2 Type C, one of those designated as a PD port. Unlike the push in USB adapters these have a power ON / OFF button. The installation kit comes with wiring that matches the back of these ports. No electrical or auto mechanic experience is required to install. Black is negative or the minus "-" and Red is positive or the "Plus" and the metal slide on connectors are also colored differently with gold for Negative - and silver for positive +.The red wire also has a fuse which I decided to leave intact and hope I do not have to change since I didn't know if the fuse from the truck fuse panel would be sufficient so I have double protection. After popping off the paneling I was able to remove the existing the socket and cut the black and red wiring from the existing power outlet. I cut of the round ends of the wiring that would usually be used on posts and joined the wiring together. Now I can power my dash cam, cell phone, and rear view screen with this socket. I purchased additional pairs to replace the units located at the back seat for the kids to charge their devices during our travels. 🔋🔋🔋

Good but will not work with iPad Pro
I installed these in my camper, replacing some that only had usb-A. Sadly, the first thing I ran into was that they were completely round. Typically, RV sockets have 2 flat sides that keep them from rotating when installed. Most cutouts are made with the flat spots. Mine were no different. I had to grind down 2 of the sides and make my own flat spots.Next I found that the lock ring needs to be threaded the entire way. Those with flat spots typically allow you to slide the ring down into position and the turn the last quarter turn to tighten. It’s a real time saver, especially in cramped spots. Fortunately my panel was easily accessible so this wasn’t a big issue.Lastly, as I went to connect wires to them, I was about to connect wiring when I saw that the + and - terminals are color coded Backwards. The standard for the gold/brass connector is + and the Silver is - These are backwards. I even checked the docs and they confirmed it.So, they work as advertised, but they aren’t as well designed as others I have used.Update: my iPad Pro refuses to charge from these. Very frustrating.

Decent sockets that do seem to charge and iPad Pro with the M1
Decent with a caveat. These are pretty nice if a bit plasticy and I can verify they charge and iPad Pro with M1 and do in fact support Magsafe fast 15w charging. The caveat is that the center usb C port in one of my devices does not function though the other two ports on the socket do with and seem to function correctly. The package comes with everything you will need for installation. These are bigger than the original socket so if your planning on replacing a standard lighter socket with this you will need to make the hole bigger.Edit: Seller is pretty quick to respond and is sending me a replacement for the one that came with the bad socket.

1 flaw
These are great quality units. The only downside is that rather than this having constant power to the unit without turning it on. Used this to replace a 12v outlet in my car and each time you restart the vehicle u you have to turn the power on the charger on. Was hoping it would come on with the ignition automatically.
