I would have given this a 5 star rating except that it only works on hardwood or tile floors. It might work on a very low pile carpet but I don't have one to test that. It's good at sensing if the cat gets bored and powers down into standby mode then powers back up if the cat comes near again. It turns around when it comes to any obstacle but can't sense stairs so it blindly tumbles down. The other problem is that if kitty is shedding, the fur gets wrapped around the axles slowing the wheels so you have to pick it out with a pair of tweezers. Other than that, it's one of kitty's favorite pastimes.

This cat toy frightened my cat so much he will not look at it except after he jumps up on his cat condo at a safe distance from it It moves very fast across the floor just as shown in ad. Your cat may love it but I wanted to return it as it was never going to be useful. I got all the way to the return kiosk only to find it wasn't among the ither returns and it was the last day to send it back. So I'm stuck with it now. Lesson learned. lol.

This would be much better if it were a bit smaller and made of softer, more flexible vinyl. It does what it's supposed to be it's made from rigid plastic that can easily crack or break. DO pay attention to what it says about hair on the floor; it will catch in the wheels and eventually make it stop working. The cats are afraid of it so far but curious so, like some of their other toys, they make come to like it.

Bought this to amuse and engage our 1 yr old cat. He wasn’t sure about it at first go, but is warming up. I didn’t expect it to sense obstacles and change direction, but that adds to the unpredictability of its movement. It does “slither” and, as directed, works best on smooth surfaces such as tile, wood, laminate. It rounds for a time and stops. If the cat bats it, it starts up again ….keeping things interesting. It would NOT hold up to the more vigorous play of most dogs, but it’s perfect for our cat.

Bought this because I liked the idea of something kitty could chase and to keep her busy. Because the toy is a hard plastic and does not work on carpet it is very noisy making scraping noises across the floor. Also the motor in the toy is loud and so with these two things our cat is worried enough about the toy that she is not wanting to get close to it.I think this toy would work better if it was made with a softer material that would make it more attractive for kitty to pick it up and play with it. Cats like to "toy" with their kills, capturing them and then letting them go and the hard plastic coupled with the loud noise does not make for a nice "kill" to play with.

My cat loves this toy and there is nothing else like it. However it easily gets stuck on carpet or whatever and cat hair in its wheels. If some company could manufacture a slightly more durable version, it would be the perfect cat toy

I think my cats would like this toy more if the eyes were not glowing red and the sound of the wheels or whatever powers was so loud. It does move like a snake, moves on it own and stops. I would also be curious if the toy could have been made with less plastic to be more realistic. The concept it there but the noise has my three cats less interested each time I try to use it.

. I was hoping to have a break from this bored cat who seems to require constant attention. It’s of some interest to her. She doesn’t play independently with it as hoped. But it’s a cute idea.

The toy holds a charge well and the cats both love it. The downside is that the smallest amount of cat hair clogs the wheels and they are not easy to clean out.

Pet hair gets in the wheels and gets all gummed up. It’s a cool toy at first but broke after a week. I’m disappointed.
