This was my first time trying a shrub and I picked the blueberry lemon flavor. I mixed it with 3 parts le croix seltzer water and 1 part shrub. I thought it was tasty with a little zip to it. Then I added a shot of rum and it was even better. Because I had read some reviews that said this shrub just tastes like ordinary apple cider vinegar, I made a second drink with 3 parts le croix and 1 part regular apple cider vinegar to compare with the shrub drink. Anyone who says the twisted shrub tastes like plain apple cider vinegar is wrong...the cider drink was gross, but the shrub drink was good!

Updated: So, as seen below, I was super disappointed with the Blueberry shrub. It's a hard shrub to make and my expectation was high I could just get away with buying it. But, I have since tried the Strawberry offering, and that is getting to what I expect. Definitely a major improvement, and then the Pineapple/Habanero, which is on point. So I'd rank them the Pineapple, Strawberry, and at the bottom Blueberry.Ahh, I'm so bummed to be disappointed in this. I make shrubs at home and saw this as being a great deal. Now, blueberry is tougher for shrub, so not sure why add lemon considering it is tart enough. But, I did blind taste tests and people guessed vinegar without spotting any sense of fruit. I'm going to use it now as a vinegar to make a shrub at home that has some fruit taste.

I tried making a drink with their suggested 1oz each shrub, tequila, soda. +cough!+ That will put some hair on your chest! Hahah. I did an extra oz of tequila, a little agave nectar, a little lime juice, and filled the rest of the glass with soda and it became delicious. I taste zero spice from the habanero which is disappointing. Also, don’t waste the nicer booze on this. As long as you aren’t using Jose Cuervo you won’t notice a difference. I used corralejo silver and couldn’t taste it at all. I don’t regret the purchase but I’ll be trying other brands for a more flavorful experience.

I mixed this with a shot of vodka and club soda and absolutely loved it! I was nervous about the Blueberry Lemon flavor because I normally don't enjoy blueberry flavored things, but this was incredible. I have also tried the Apple Ginger flavor and that was amazing as well. It's such a different spin on making your own fun cocktail at home and since there is 8 drinks in each bottle, I don't have to worry about not having a good mixer in the house! I've always wanted to be a bartender that makes cool drinks and now I feel like I am one!

I've made shrubs before so I was excited to try Twisted Shrub. Pineapple habanero sounded delish.Super disappointed and wondering how this made it to 'let's bottle it!' I am so sorry to be leaving a poor review, but I'm really stumped. I wouldn't have if not for the price point. Perhaps it can be used to make a vinaigrette?

Blueberry and lemon flavors are very hard to distinguish, and if you dilute it any more than the instructions say, they vanish completely--when I tried it with gin, that also completely overpowered whatever fruit was there. I haven't yet found something that isn't just seltzer that results in a drink that I might maybe kind of (with the color as a hint) guess was blueberry without using more than 1oz in a drink, and at more than 1oz in a drink, the cost is kind of high. The kind of thing that makes me think "I should try making this" and not "I should order another bottle of this".

This might be my favorite of the Twisted Shrub line, though ALL are amazing. These work with any drink: sparkling water, regular water, or lemonade, as well as alcoholic beverages. I bought these for my bar and now have sent them as gifts to my family members and friends. Everyone loves these shrubs. The company is also great to deal with--adding in a birthday message or fixing a miss-typed address (my mistake!) with a quick response. The ingredients they use are high quality and the customer service is excellent. Highly recommended and will be reordering again and again and again....

These are delicious! I'm a huge vinegar fan (addict might be more accurate) and these babies are just what I was craving. I've made a few cocktails with them and they've turned out great. Sometimes, when no one's looking, I sneak a sip straight from the bottle!One of my bottles was shipped in a bubble-wrap pouch instead of a box (Amazon's fault) and it leaked out a bit. Not only did The Twisted Shrub send a replacement, they also sent an extra bottle, some coasters, and a shot glass! They have a customer for life.
