Good things :-Plastic shroud makes it all but impossible to accidentally burn yourself on the hot steel nozzle.Comes with UK plug.On/Off switch is well placed to unlikely to be accidentally operated.Metal stand to keep it raised of working surface is useful but not really needed.Bad things :-One speed, it's on...or it's off. That's it.Power lead might be too short for some users.Feels plastic and cheap.I bought this to soften adhesive inside smartphones, for this it was perfect. It heated up fast and since I only needed it for short bursts the 10 minute limit in the instructions didn't cause me any problems. As I said above, it feels cheap...but it does exactly what it says and the price was pretty good. So as the review headline says, basic but good value.

I make soy wax candles and have resisted buying one of these, not sure why as they are a life saver.Perfect to melt the tops when you have an uneven surface or a sinkhole.It's compact, heats quickly, I just wish the cable was a bit longer but otherwise very happy!

Bought for candle making and does a really good job. Not sure how it would be for other crafts. However I am very please with my purchase.

I love my heat gun so much, the best purchase I've made in my candle making journey. Its not so strong that it blow wax everywhere and helps me achieve smooth tops every time. I love it!

Item was ideal for heating my seal wraps on my soldering, so happy with it.Point to note is the lead is quite short though.
