Lights things on fire.
Lights things on fire very reliably. My wife uses it as her go-to lighter, gets a couple days per charge. Which works out nicely.More windproof than a zippo, though nowhere near as cool to use.

Didn't work the first couple of tries, but...
This is my second one, with the first working perfectly. This one wouldn't charge at first. It would flash three times, then go solid. Hit the button and no spark. Flustered, I plugged it in again. Three flashes, then it went solid. Hit the button, then nothing. On the third try, it kept flashing, then it fully charged in about 20 or so minutes. Fires up just fine now. Maybe it was so drained the "brain" finally kicked in and now it charges. I'll post a follow up if it fails me.

Excellent. Rcvd
Excellent. Rcvd. Charge took about 2 hours. Lights tinder and fuel tabs (light on the corner) really well. Lights cotton ball, tissues, etc. Like the two point closer on the cap, push the button and the top pop open. Pretty darn simple.

Unreliable, cannot count on this to work when needed
The media could not be loaded. Have had this for a few months now. Part of an emergency kit so it has been used maybe 6 times mostly to show people who don't get how these work. The last few times when I press the button it may or may not work. I have fully charged it, and the operation is random. Press the button 5 times and it will work x number of those times in no particular sequence. From a sample of 25 button pushes it worked 11 times including the first push and the last. There is NO WAY I am going to rely on this thing for an emergency kit or a daily use item. The last thing I need if I need a light is to play" lighter roulette " to see if it is going to work.

This has a rechargeable battery in it and a plug to put in a 110 volt home outlet to charge it.
When you need to start a fire, this is the ideal thing if there is wind that blows out a regular lighter. There are cords like the one that comes with it that burn when it is ignited to help you get a fire started when you need one. I added one to my hunting backpack with some #0000 steel wool that will catch fire with this lighter.

Unique USB Charged Lighter
I purchased this lighter to use camping last weekend. It was windy and it was so nice to not have a flame burn out, or have to huddle over a lighter, back to the wind, hoping to light a lethal cigarette. It also gathered a much attention and use by others in our camping group consisting of 25 adults. I love that it is charged via USB. I have USB ports in my vehicles and always take portable chargers and power stations with USB ports to charge various items whilst camping.

Good design but poor quality control.
The first lighter I received would not hold a charge longer than an hour. I requested a replacement and the replacement came with the lighter prongs untrimmed. Despite the packet insert saying not to touch or alter them I had to trim them back in order to produce a spark at all because they were literally touching. Quality control seems poor but when working like it's supposed to it's quite impressive. I would never rely on this as my sole source for a fire starter though especially after the first one I received.

Scares the cat off.
Charged it up, Works great. For some reason, it scares the hell out of the cat even if he is in another room. Apparently, she can hear it and freaks. If this works on all cats maybe it should be marketed as a cat-attack deterrent.

Might have been better to have a jet flame lighter
Not so easy to use to light a fire outside. I think a jet flame lighter would have been a better choice for survival style fire lighting.Time will tell.
