Three low priced replacement ear pads compared
I was in the market to change out the terrible stock pads on the Audio Technica BPHS-1 broadcast headsets. I have three pairs for streaming so I decided to buy the three cheapest pad options to see if any would do the trick. Since these are not for an audiophile application, my main focus was going to be comfort seeing as they would be worn for long stretches. The three sets are here below with a review of each to be posted on each product's page.1. Senitek Replacement Ear Pads For Headphones By Senitek Protein Leather Earphone Covers - Memory Foam For Unmatched Comfort & Noise Blocking (currently viewing) $7.99 (My overall score is 4.5 stars) **UPDATE 4/18/18 [Price has doubled over the course of two days to $15.99 - At that price point I would now say get the Lyx Pro for value or go higher to the Brainwavz for overall quality]Comfort - 4 stars - The foam in these headphones was the most comfortable of the three. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it says they are leather. Only the outer ring is leather. The part that touched your ear is velour. The main issue with velour is that they get hot much quicker. If these weren't only $8 I would have sent them back but it's not worth the time. If they made an all leather version with the perforated leather they use on these cups, I'd purchase them for all of my sets.Fit - 4.5 stars - best fitting on the cups of all the pairs. Snug on the cups with little movement once installed.Look - 5 stars - Best looking by far. I love the look of the perforated leather. None of the pictures they have posted show what these pads actually look like.2. LyxPro Replacement Ear Pads for LyxPro HAS-30 $7.99 (My overall score is 4 stars)Comfort - 4 stars - Not quite as cushiony as the Senitek, but slightly larger. Better for bigger ears. All leather as advertised and felt cool as they sat on my head. Would definitely grab these first for a longer streaming session.Fit - 4 stars - They fit nicely on the headset, but a little loose due to the larger size. They tend to not stay in place as much but it's not all that noticeable.Look - 3.5 stars - Nothing special. Much better than the stock cups but I can't imagine anything worse.3. Tranesca leather replacement earpad/ear cushion/ear cover for big OVEREAR Headphones $12.95 (my overall score is 3.5 stars)Comfort - 3.5 stars - I had high hopes for these. The company certainly has put a great deal of thought into their presentation of the product, and also to their commitment to quality. Unfortunately they just don't feel like a natural fit. This is not because they are angled. I have other pairs of angled pads that are fantastic. They are a just a tad too small. They will probably fot most ears, but even my average sized ears feel a bit cramped after a short time. I would constantly notice the fit while I have them on and that is precisely what I don't want. They do feel like the highest quality build of the three though so the extra cost is justified in this instance in my opinion.Fit - 2.5 stars - After installing the cups I noticed an annoying pucker on the sides of the pads where they slide into the guides on the headset. The other two sets positioned nicely in the cups so it was quite noticeable.Look - 4 stars - These look very nice on the headset. Nothing really to catch they eye, but they definitely exude a quality to them on first glance. All three pairs are a good value for the money. My winner here is the Senitek overall. If the velour scares you off then I recommend the LyxPro secondarily. My favorite for audiophile applications are still the Brainwavz or ZMF (for monster cans), but all three of these are going to be better pads than most lower priced headphones will come stock with. I will be searching out some other low priced pairs and adding to the review as they come along.

They are every bit as good as the HM5 branded ones for a fraction of ...
I've bought several of these Senitek pads now of every type they offer. They are every bit as good as the HM5 branded ones for a fraction of the cost. Speaking of which the cost on these float from as low as $6 up to about $18. The average hovers at $12-$13 though which is still a fantastic price. The cloth ones are truly outstanding on some headphones. Get multiples of each because pad rolling does change sound signatures. Sometimes for improvement and sometimes not. I will say that since these are the same dimensions as the HM5 pads, headphones that do not sound good with deeper pads like the HM5's will not sound good with these. An example would be my Koss DJ Pro 200 headphones. Those like shallow pads only. Same goes for my ISK 2010 headphones. On other headphones that do benefit from deeper pads, these will sound fantastic on. If you need good, comfortable, durable pads for your headphones then really look no further. These are it for the price.

Excellent for the price
These pads are excellent for the price. I use them with the Monoprice Modern Retro headphones and for comparison I also own Brainwavz XL in black pleather (which is the closest product I own in terms of design, I have many other pads). In comparison, the Senitek is a little smaller in all dimensions, the foam is less resistant and more easily conforms to the shape of your head, which makes up for less overall skin contact surface area than the Brainwavz. It forms a good seal with slightly more sound leakage than the Brainwavz because of foam density, and in my opinion is just as comfortable. As they have less resistant memory foam you'll find your ear rests closer to the driver of your headphone than with Brainwavz pads, whether that is good or bad depends on the headphone and your personal preference. I think they pair well with the Modern Retro, and they are infinitely better than the stock pads. Would be a good stock replacement on any midsize headphones (they almost did not fit the Modern Retros, you have to really work your way around to get them on.)

They also isolate pretty well. In comparison to zmf cowhide pads
Used for m40x. They are comfier than stock and clean up the bass without breaking anything else. They also isolate pretty well.In comparison to zmf cowhide pads, the senitek is closer to stock sound and more analytical while the zmf pads are more fun and less fatiguing. Both are equal in terms of comfort. I do prefer the sound of the zmf's more, but they are $40+ than the the seniteks. They also barely fit my he400i's. I won't comment on the sound there as I didn't do a prolonged listening session as I didn't want the pads to stretch out too much before putting them on m40x duty. I'll edit my review to include a description about this if I ever decide to try it again. For $6, these are very much worth it.

Better than Original Quality (in many cases) and a Great Price
I purchased all 3 flavors (leatherette, velour, and fabric) and they are all very high quality and work with a good variety of my headphones with oval shaped cups. In the past I have purchased Brainwavz pads, and was happy with them, but carefully inspecting those and these Seniteks, they look very similar and the quality seems the same. I like the fabric option for a change that most others do not have. They fit great on my NVX headphones (an HM-5 varient) as well as Marantz MPH-4, and Shure headphones. The quality, (like Brainwavz Quality) is much better than what comes with most medium priced headphones. Very durable and stretchable. Because of the great price I will buy these in the future.
