Has done the job I got it for.
I think I've already written about this after the first day, but now I had it weeks, I can say it still works well. I got it for a fruit fly infestation (that came with a plant I put in the bedroom) and it still pops the occasional one. It's probably killed a hundred or so since I installed it behind my bedroom TV. Both bulbs worked from the start (some reviews nearly put me off) and are still going strong. Will also be good for mosquitoes in the summer. Being winter, there are no standard flies/wasps around so can say how it will cope with them. pleased with it.

Kills!
Fruitflies. Start off as little harmless things on the bananas. Then a few days later they are everywhere. Tiny little demons invading your life... This Zaps the little b------ds with a satisfying ZAP! It arrived with one of the bulbs not working. It came with a spare. I changed it. Still didn't work. Got a refund after a little persuasion... The ZAP! is loud and will upset the cat but worth it to know that another one of the blighters has bit the dust. Trick with fruit flies is to remove anything they can feed on and anywhere that has water - drains, etc. They are a nuisance that can very soon become a bloody nuisance. A bit like some people I know...

Too Weak For Bluebottle Flies
Bought this because of a bluebottle infestation in my kitchen. Fly paper hadn't helped much, so needed something stronger. When I set it up on the first night I was pleased to hear the zaps as it did its work. When I went into the kitchen, the noise of killing sounded like a warzone. This is not quiet. I could hear the zaps from another room, but these flies had to go.In the morning I couldn't wait to look in the tray - my kitchen was noticeably clear of all but a few flies. Imagine my disappointment upon opening the tray and finding that almost all the victims were still alive, just a bit stunned! Before they all revived and flew out, I hit them with pesticide (household flea spray.)I was disgusted that the shock had been too weak to kill them. I'd hoped they would have a quick death, much quicker than being stuck to non-toxic fly paper. And in the end I had to resort to a pesticide which I avoid in the kitchen - I've never sprayed the fleaspray in there. The electric cable is too short, and comes from the top of the zapper. A longer cable leaving the bottom of the device would be much better. Most of all: it needs a more powerful zap.On the plus side, it does attract flies and stun them. Might be better used on smaller insects.

One tube was loose, but both working now.
I often wondered if these insect zappers worked, but to our amazement we heard a sharp buzz noise, then saw a dead fly laying in the tray.Zappedy do they, Zappedy they lay ! 😎👍🏻

Really works!
This is a really good item has been in use throughout summer and got rid of all of the flies in our house.. even when the door is open! Comes with a spare tube. Only negative is that it is really loud when it gets a fly and it scares the dogs!

Very satisfying...
This thing is LOUD when it kills things... satisfyingly so.The sound of another "CRACK" of electricity from the kitchen leaves me relaxing, hands behind head, with a smug "Ahhhh, my work here is done" feeling.Great product - comes with a spare UV tube and a little brush to dust off those insect particles.(Yes I know, I'm grim... my wife tells me that all the time... [grins])
