Thin but strong - use them layered or folded
These swabs are thin, but they are soft and strong and highly absorbent.I bought them to put on a broken blister wound on my leg. They can be cut to size, but I folded them instead, to make a thicker dressing. Using this swab in a single layer, however, is not very absorbent, as they are rather thin.Folded, I find them to be highly absorbent, taking in the exudate from my wound. They are non-sterile, but that does not seem to create any problems where I am using them.They can also be used in conjunction with saline solution for skin cleansing around the wound, or indeed anywhere.These are thin but strong, so if you want to use them for absorbency, I recommend them to be used folded or layered together.
