Troy-Bilt41BR25BL766 TB400 25cc 2-Cycle 180 MPH 400 CFM Gas Leaf Blower

I wanted to buy the Hitachi blower. I borrowed one from a friend an loved it. After sitting for over a year, I put fuel, pulled chord a couple of times and it fired rigtht up. It's light and powerful. Unfortunately, its no longer sold so I decided to try this Troy-Bilt. This unit is heavy and it took me a long time to get it started out of the box. After I finally started it, it was smoking like nobody's business. Once it warmed up, it was blowing ok, but the smoke bothers me. So, a few days later, I tried again, I got it to start after several attempts, and it still smokes alot. and it just will not blow hard until it warms up. Unlike the Hitachi which was ready to go almost immediately. Also, since this type of devices use fuel, you will not be able to return it. You basically own it whether you want it or not. And I don't. Stupid me. I should have bought it from Home Depot, this way I could simply take it to my local store. I was being lazy and just ordered it from Amazon. Lesson learned. There are certain items that Amazon will not accept back, period. For those cases, consider buying locally, or ordering from a big box store, so you can just return it if you don't like it.

got it out of the box, fueled it up, it started right off, used for a hour, love it, variable speed is the way to go!! thanks so much. michael..

First use it worked great. Second use was hard to get started but worked when it did start. Third use it refuses to start no matter what. Repair shop refuses to look at it. Told me to go buy a decent brand.

Mine leaked gas right off the bat. I didn't even start it up. I think it is leaking out of the carb or a hose inside. There went $100.00 !!!!

Not a single spark.
