Mobile Suit Gundam WING 2: Glory of the Losers

Zechs, Tallgeese & The Sanc Kingdom (Early Episodes of the Anime)
I’ve been reviewing what I’ve read of this series & shouldn’t like to leave anything out, but the truth is that I don’t have this volume to hand. Like the others, it is a spectacular re-telling of Gundam Wing in manga form, with much of what Western audiences missed (due to lack of translation) seamlessly incorporated into the story! This is really a fun, easygoing (by comparison) volume that I remember having cemented my love for this series.I recall a lot of these first 2 volumes are the chapters of a story called “Tallgeese: Miracle Worker,” and use the opportunity of the re-telling to make clear just how desperate & dangerous & potentially unsuccessful an undertaking it is for Zechs to actually get the Tallgeese functional & keep it safe, before it can fight, in what amounts to an ongoing warzone! This volume contains the re-telling of Zechs’ return to the Sanc Kingdom, which ends up realized in EXQUISITE fashion, faithful to the original anime showing, but adding a whole new depth & dimension to the character we all already love!

"The weak should not fight..."
As Heero fixes up his Gundam and Duo sits on the sidelines, Quatre and Trowa meet on the battlefield and Wufei defends his homeland with his Nataku against Oz's new Mobile Suits!Volume 2 has finally been released and this time we get to see more of the other Gundams! We do get more colored pages in the front of the book but none of the actual story. This time it's just Mobile Suit bios. Otherwise, everything is in the same size manga as before. Smaller than the Thunderbolt manga and a little smaller than the old Tokyopop books. We get to see some cool Mobile Suits in this volume. The Taurus suits are introduced and, like I said earlier, we get to see more of Shenlong, Heavyarms, and Sandrock along with the Maguanacs. One neat suit introduced is the Tallgheese Shilong. A variant of the Tallgheese that Zechs ends up with. This one has more Leo features and is navy blue but still retains the blistering speed of the Tallgheese. Sandrock is also shown with some high mobility bottom half and another time with Maguanac weaponry and shields so it's neat to see that this manga version of Sandrock incorporates the Maguanac tech a bit more. The story still follows along with the show but interjects with background information or new scenes. It's a fresh take on a classic story. We get some clarification on why Wufei always calls Shenlong Gundam 'Nataku' instead. We also get a glimpse at the Epyon! At the end is a little comic about the Master Grade Epyon that totally spoils future volumes but it's a fun read. Overall a really enjoyable manga and I look forward to more of them!

Awesome Detailed Mecha and Character Developments
Another amazing volume of Gudam Wing. The Wufei plots was the more compelling aspect of this volume. It helped to develop him a bit further. His idea of justice was intriguing and seeing how he had to confront it after the loss in his life was interesting. Wufei and Noin had compelling interactions too. I looking forward to their future interactions. The art is still amazing and it kind of blows my mind that this is so detailed for a manga. I wonder if it some point someone will attempt to do a weekly mecha series with this high level of detail. Very amazing.Extras were a short bonus comic with some funny moments with Heero. There were color pages and character profiles. Good extras.

I love this anime and the movie for this anime, so I was excited to start collecting the Endless Waltz manga. It’s honestly worth reading!

Remembering Gundam Wing
If you like Gundam Wing, pick this up. It’s a quick read but, the art work is visually exciting. I like the direction they are going to and of course it takes you back the 90s Toonami days. I recommend it!

Magnifico

A good continuation to a beloved series.
This manga adaption is arguable the best way to experience the series Gundam Wing. The artwork is top notch following on from the first volume. If you are a mech fan, sci-fi fan or just a lover of good tales then you may enjoy this manga series regardless of if you have watched or read Gundam before.
