There is neither anything really good nor really bad with this product. We diy'd some hand hewn beams and had to join 3 10 foot lengths together to cover our total 30 feet. We used the straps to cover the joins. It did not stick very well to our beams, but the beams have a rough finish. Maybe that contributed to the non stick issue? We were able to fasten otherwise and they look fine. Not sure I would say they look good but they are certainly OK. Since this is a thinner type material you can see where the corner of one beam did not exactly match up to the corner of the other at the join. Maybe if it were thicker it would hold it's own shape a little better instead of showing everything underneath it. On the other hand it is 15 foot up in the air and if you stand and study it you can definitely see it but most people don't tend to study fine details of a ceiling and at a glance they look fine.

It doesn’t stick well and the length of the tape is about 4’4” not 5 feet
