Nerf Dog 12 Inch Nylon/Foam Fetch and Catch Dog Toy, Blue/Green, Medium

My dogs love this! They fight over who is going to play with it! Time to purchase another one.

My dog loves to play tug with it and she loves to play fetch with it. she has been able to tear it apart after several months, so we bought another.

First of all let me say that I love nerf foam footballs. They fly super far and are incredibly easy to throw. Problem is the dog goes through them in a week as they aren't built for dogs. I saw this product and thought that my problems were solved.It seems extremely sturdy and a tough rubber perfect for my dog. Problem is the thing looks like a football but throws like a Boulder. The football has some weight but isn't a huge issue except there are zero aerodynamics. It will spin out of control and just tumble around a few feet from where you throw it. Why shape it like a football if it can't be thrown like a football? Not even if i try to throw properly to achieve a spiral can I because of the weird weight balance. If I wanted just something to throw normally I would have bought a normal rubber dog ball as this throws worse than that. Basically useless don't bother unless you want to be just as disappointed.

...but maybe too heavy. Easy to throw it underhanded by holding the "tail" end and it goes pretty far. My dog just seems to prefer the squishier ones from another brand. With the Nerf name, I wasn't expecting it to be so stiff. The thicker material should hold up well to large dogs' teeth though.

Of all the many toys our pup has this is his very favorite. It is a large toy, suitable for a big dog.
