Super easy set up
The unifi line is one of the quickest and easiest access points to set up and manage. I highly recommend using the cloud key option. The wall pro has fantastic range. We have a 13,000 SF house and have a total of 5 unifi access points to cover it. The wall pros have the best range out of all in inside devices we have tried. You can adjust the radio depending on range needed. The two RJ45 ports work great. I’ve used the POE RJ45 port with great success.I have mine set up thru a unifi 24 port 250 watt max POE switch which works perfectly with these. We can walk anywhere thru the house and it switches access points with almost zero latency. I replaced a Netgear system that never worked right. This is more costly but it is true professional grade equipment hat you find in hotels.

You gotta love a product that actually works!
I have two of these, each connected to a Ubiquiti PoE switch. I replaced a plain wall jack with these and they are simply great. In addition to being a great access point, they have 2 wired Ethernet jacks, one with PoE pass-through. The look great, and stick out only about a half inch from the wall. I just plugged it in, my UniFi controller found it, upgraded it, and it just works that easily.

Not Supported - Ubiquity is dumping them
No firmware is available; I don't know why they continue to sell it.This device is apparently no longer supported. I would give this product 0 stars if possible; it's absurd that they sell it but don't support it any longer.

VERY useful - a wireless access point plus 2 ethernet jacks in one unit
Bottom line: I love this access point because it effectively functions both as a WAP as as a mini switch with 2 ethernet jacks, one of which supports POE!I needed (okay, wanted) to replace my home networking equipment and ended up going on a Ubiquiti binge after reading many positive reviews of the company's equipment. I started with a 48-port managed POE switch and a gateway router, then added three wireless access points: two of the UAP-AC-Pro models and one of these in-wall units. Why the in-wall unit? There is one spot in my house where I needed an access point but also wanted to connect two clients (a Lutron Bridge and a Samsung SmartThings hub) to the wired network, and this "in-wall" access point was PERFECT for that application. As another reviewer noted, "in-wall" is a bit of a misnomer, as this unit does not really insert into the wall, but rather attaches to it like a thick cover plate. In my case there was a wall receptacle with an ethernet jack right where I wanted to mount this access point, so I simply removed the existing plate and mounted this access point to the wall in its place. Installation was a breeze, thanks partly to the pre-drilled holes in the mounting plate. All I had to do was screw the mounting plate to the receptacle box, plug the ethernet cable in the wall into the back of the access point, and secure the access point to the mounting plate. The unit is powered by the ethernet cable via POE, so there was nothing else to wire.As with my other WAPs, the Ubiquiti software instantly recognized the new access point and incorporated it into my network. Here's what I really like about this access point:1) Easy installation2) Minimal wiring, as it receives its power via the ethernet cable (POE)3) Easily incorporates with a Ubiquiti network4) This is a biggie: It has TWO ethernet jacks, one of which can support a POE device. This means you can almost think of this not just as an access point but as a miniature switch. Unfortunately, neither of the clients I'm using with this access point (the Lutron and Samsung hubs) can be powered by ethernet, so I still have to plug them into A/C power. But it's great to be able to wire them to my network via this access point.Couldn't be happier with this.

"On" rather than "In" wall
The unit is larger than I expected, standing about 3/4" out from the wall and about 1/2" taller and wider than a normal wall outlet. Most of the body sits on top of the wall, with only the uplink socket being inside the wallbox. I'm using it in a residential environment and it is not as unobtrusive as I wanted.Sitting on the surface, it made it easy to access the ports on the bottom to plug in a wired device and probably means the antennas work better. Installation was easy, both mechanically to the box and in adopting it into the network.

All of the Ubiquiti Unifi products are well worth the money spent. They are of high quality and consistently maintain a strong connection with devices. The only downside to this and others of their products is that you do need some background in IT/electronics in order to get the system set up. This system is not for the beginner. I have a rudimentary background in electronics and even less in IT. I was finally able to get the system up and running with the help of their support folks. (Mandy was the best)

Nice when then work, not a long term device, will fail in a year.
Not a long term but, it’ll fail in about a year. Started out great but then slightly past the warranty expiration it failed after a power outage.I would look elsewhere.

Great product for homes that come prewired with cat5 (or better) ethernet cables. It's a stylish AP that can fit on your wall without making things look out of place. With a few of these, you can make sure there are no wifi dead spots in your house. The LED that it comes with can be turned off if you find it bothers you. One thing to keep in mind is that to set this up, you need a PoE switch and to download the unifi app at the very least.

This Product is no longer Supported
I purchased this AP 2 years ago, and it has been OK (I have other AP’s that are better). You should be aware that Ubiquiti has dropped support for this product, and as of March 2021 you will no monger be able to configure this product in the UniFi Controller (making it useless).I do not recommend that anyone buy this AP for this reason.

Great performing access point and highly recommended for installation in Ethernet wall box (if you have POE/POE+). Working fine with Linksys LGS308P. Only criticism of Ubiquity access point is that the unit does not have a built in Web server for configuration and you need to install controller software on a PC or Mac to manage.
