At first I thought the device itself was flawed, but the USB cord included turned out to be nonfunctional. I give four stars for failing to quality control an important component (thankfully, easily replaced).Is a great design otherwise. Pretty decent recording quality, nothing fancy but clear. Sits comfortably on a small necklace, but don't use a chain - any clinking will be very loud in your recordings.

The recorder itself works well until i would like to use any of the other features. The dongle doesn't connect in both ears unless gently bent so they connect inside of it.The voice activated feature is only worthwhile if the voices are pretty loud, otherwise cutting out part of the conversation or whatever is making the noise. The reception level can be turned up but any close noise is very overwhelming if set higher.Good recorder if all you need is for close range clear sounds. Not so good otherwise for what I'm needing

Trying to activate voice activation is a pain in the butt the setting won't allow me to make it work properly. When you turn on record it picks up clearly. I just want the voice activated feature to work for me and I think I'm going to send it back.

If you're looking to take a recording without someone knowing this item is great. There is only a small on and off button on the side, and an older charging port, but no other indications that it is a recording device. However, this comes with drawbacks. The way to change recording settings and access the recordings themselves are a bit complicated and require you to read the instructions guide carefully.For example: To listen to the recording you need to turn the recorder off, plug in an adaptor that connects headphones to the charging port, connect the headphones, and turn it on. Then it will begin playing.I would also note that the instruction manual is poorly worded at times. Still, the device gets the job done, and with a bit of getting used to you can easily figure out how to get it all working and do what you want. But this is kind of device where you will have to keep the instruction manual handy in order for you to be able to use it properly in the future, so just keep that in mind.Conclusion: This device is optimized for hidden recording. You do not want to use this to record a classroom lecture, but to catch someone incriminating themselves or talking about a cheater. The recording is decent and the device gets the job done, but it may take some time getting used to the different settings and instructions before using.

I tested this device using my Windows 10 computer and I found that it did a decent job at recording the sound in the room/area.The device is easy enough to use. The first thing I did was I charged the unit. It charges via the included USB cable (it is a standard micro-USB cable). While the device charged, I read through the documentation. There were 2 documentation leaflets (one was in "English" and one was in French). The English instructions were poorly written but I was able to get the gist of it (ex: "Please not speak to the microphone near the recorder during recorded voice will pop")After the device was fully charged (you can tell that it is fully charged when the small LED is a solid blue colour and no longer flashing), I connected the device to my Windows 10 computer via the included USB cable and ran the program to set the date/time on the unit so that it matched my computer's date/time. The device didn't take a long time to fully charge.I then unplugged it from my computer and turned it on while I watched television in the room. The device was able to clearly pick up the sound from the television. The sound quality is what I would consider to be acceptable. I would say that it is somewhat on par with having a sound recording app installed on a cellphone and using the app to record what was happening in the room.When I turned the device off, I inserted the included cable which is used to play the audio and plugged the included headphones (uses standard 3.5mm jack) into this cable to listen to the audio. I turned on the unit and I could make out everything that the device recorded via the headphones.I then connected the device to my Windows laptop again and the device was detected as an external USB storage device. I went into the appropriate folder and found the audio file which was stored in .WAV format. Using audio software which is capable of reading/opening .WAV files on my Windows 10 computer, I was able to listen to the audio file on my computer. I was also able to transfer this file to my computer.Included with the device itself is a microUSB cable to USB-A which can be used to charge the device or connect it to a computer that has a USB-A port, an OTG adapter to connect the device to an Android cellphone (you'll need a data capable USB cable from your cellphone to standard USB-A), 2 rings to connect the device to a keychain/lanyard, a microUSB audio control adapter, along with a standard 3.5mm earphones. You also get the poorly written instructional pamphlet.The device is somewhat inconspicuous and looks like a USB thumb/storage drive as opposed to a sound/voice recorder. I've attached it to my lanyard.

とにかく小型。オンオフのシンプル操作です。録音ファイルはWAV形式で保存されるので、パソコンでの出力が必修です。そこらへんの手間が問題なければ、使い勝手は抜群です。サイズに拘らなければ、本体で再生できる方が楽ではあります。

Ok well I have to honestly say I did not understand the instructions to this item as they were not very clear. Used it and thought that it may download to my laptop did not happen. I would say that is not an option for anything to record. This is not money worthy.
