Easy to imstall and connect to the app. Didn't realize that HDMI needs an additional source for the video box—brightness on the black wall with wood panels. You almost can't see it.

The media could not be loaded.  This light array has much less subtlety than I expected. LEDs shine at either their configured max brightness or off with no regional dimming. This results in lots of tiny area strobing and black spots during darker scenes. There's nothing like color matching, with 3000k whites and bright yellows on screen triggering 6000k white borders, and greens and oranges only occurring very infrequently. You'll get the idea if you watch my video.Most infuriating for me was that the app pretended to offer an orientation setting, letting you select whether the HDMI box is plugged into the left side or right side of the display. In reality, the orientation cannot be changed. I had to pry off and reapply my light strips in reverse. Tip: the USB cable must plug into the strip on the left of your display, which is on the right side if you're looking at the back of your display.It is possible to configure these lights to turn on with the TV or projector if you use a power triggered power strip and add a scene to the lighting device within its app. The scene is defined as, if HDMI status = on then light strip power = on. And be sure to plug the strip into an outlet that turns on when the projector or TV is powered on.I'm glad I got this strip. I've always wanted to try an Ambilight setup or similar. Now that I have, it seems more gimmick than immersive. The night / campfire setting is pretty neat. I'll probably leave my lights set either on that or on solid color. But in any case, now I know.This light array gains a star for solving a problem that has plagued me for years -- that less expensive IR-controlled LED strips tend to go nuts from some of my air conditioner and projector's remote IR signals. Now I can enable 3D mode on my projector without triggering seizure-inducing rapid rainbow strobes. So, yay for that.

We are getting a new TV this weekend and I can't wait to install these lights.Even though we haven't gotten the chance to hang them up we toyed around with them outside of the box and I'm throughly impressed.These aren't your average LED lights. They add color to accent your show. Bringing it to life in a scense. Something I've never experienced before but now I don't know how I'll ever watch a movie without them!So excited! Our house will now be the new movie spot with these crazy cool lights!

These LED strips were easy to adhere to the TV and set up with the HDMI cables and hub. They synced really well with the TV making the TV colors match very well with the background LED lights. Everything is working well and we hope the whole system lasts a good long time. A great item to have.
