Bios Battery Backup Assembly providing 3 volts to power and maintain the eprom chip and it's firmware in keeping the date and time active on Asus Notebook models U46e that works for 2 to 3 years. This battery is fixed on to the internal circuitry of the Asus U46e motherboard, fastened to a mating receptacle via this batteries wire harness housing (plug).
