Bestop 5180535 Element Upper Fabric Doors For 2007-2018 For Wrangler JK 2DR/4DR - Front

Bestop could definatly have a jig or a hydrolic mold to conture the doors to the curvature of the door surrounds. The rods are incredibly stiff for their size. I read all of the complaints and they are legit. Bestop now says, along with customers, that you must bend and mold them. They say every jeep is slightly different, wich is not so. Jeep parts are very interchangeble withing their model. People say to bend at the rods that go into the half door. I found that this will put too much stress on the bottom and not enough at the top. So with a few 2x4s laid out and my heavy weight on my foot i gave the window rod curvature to match windshied frame and door surround, then i slightly bent the rods. The weather stripping is high quality and so is the canvas. Now the doors seal perfectly. I do beleave this should be noted in descriptions or at least instructions. I give these door uppers a 5 star because they do what they are sopposed to do after 1.5 hours of hard bending. Also the misaligment was no secret anymore on the interweb and i bought them anyway so i wont judge them on that. If you jeep around you can figure the bends, if you are mithoticall you can get it perfect.

I purchased the Bestop element Doors because the description of these Bestop 51805-35 HighRock 4x4 Element Door Upper fabric doors. The Bestop Catalog (page 33) says "Element Upper Doors fits Element Doors 51796 and 51810. Includes two upper soft doors and two fabric door skins." Due to this wording of "two fabric door skins", I thought I also was getting fabric door skins for the Element Doors (518010-01 that I had ordered) in addition to the upper soft doors. However, when I received the order, there were no fabric door skins for the lower doors. I checked with Bestop, and they said their wording was referring to the fabric door skins that are on the upper doors. I think this is really misleading wording. Amazon was great when I returned it all.So if you are interested in the HighRock Element Doors, be aware there is no fabric covering available from Bestop. I returned these and I ended up purchasing complete soft doors.

The doors are a great idea when cold in the morning or evening but what i was not happy with the Doors don't fit properly on my 2007 and its difficult to close door

Items stated it would fit my year jeep, unfortunately it did not fit, company was very quick to take payment, but the return took longer than expected. But they were good to their word, even offered to help find the correct part.

They don't really seal very at all.

poor design you have to push upper corners out as you close the door wears weatherstrip out after a couple uses and does not match factory soft top color

Crap design, poor materials and awful look.
