works great and has a battery option. the batter can drain as is normal for any battery powered smart device i will be purchasing more for my displays

We got this for our son because he's obsessed with having LED lights in his room, and he likes it. He doesn't mess around with the app because he has it on the mode he wants, but the fact that the app is marked as 4+ (so he can have it on his ipad with parental controls) puts this light worlds ahead of the last ones we bought that used an app marked 17+.

This little light box is pretty. I love some of the effects you get. I really enjoy looking at it and it gives my space around my computer neat ambience. I wish I could get more, but they are rather expensive. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what is is for two reasons:The adhesives that came with it are terrible. It's fallen twice, much to my frustration. The app itself doesn't work either. I can't connect to personalize it, or use some of the other cooler sounding functions. This makes it more of a pretty box with some function, and not anything special.

If you want to just use the lights pre-set colors, then you will enjoy these lights. If you expect them to work like other smart lights, you wont be happy. The app is absolutely terrible and the most difficult experience to set up, once you have them set up they don’t behave consistently with the app, connecting, disconnecting etc. And if you get signed out, your original email and username wont work anymore and who knows why.

These are very bright, and the colors are amazing!

Bought this to try our the daisy-chain function of the Cololights and overall it is a decent experience. With only two lights, it isn't anything impressive, but if you had several of them, it would make a really great display.Nonetheless, these are a really unique light with how it blends and moves color across the surface. Makes a cool coaster for clear whiskey glasses if you only have one or two of the lights. The price is pretty steep in my opinion, but I know a lot of the gaming and smart lights in the market are just as pricey, so probably worth a consideration.Lastly, I do use google home and these integrated just fine with it - so if you're interested in that feature, setup and operation is pretty seamless.

This was easily setup and paired to my iPhone. I then added the Alexa skill and finally added the scheduling routine to Alexa to turn the light on and off. Everything worked well. We use the light to illuminate a 3D acrylic etched block of our grandson. It works excellent for this.

This appears to be a dated device, and if it isn't, the way it goes about wanting you to sign up to the app, get your location, then walks you through bluetooth setup, then switches to wanting wifi access. No thank you. The different color animation are cool on its own, so I can play with that. The casing, however, needs a major redesign. The music syn can easily be down with a controller. They don't need everything else for that. I have led fixtures that cost half as much and do more. I'm giving it 3/5 because even without all the excessive setup, it's still a bit cool to look at.
