Offering a crazy beautiful bridal hair comb made from authentic 1920s - 1930s Art Deco era high-end large dress clips. I've mounted the clips back to back on a silver plated hair comb base to create a classic Art Deco oval shaped jewel. The comb features a row of SO Art Deco square cut clear glass rhinestones while the rest of the open work setting is completely encrusted with smaller sparkly round cut pave rhinestones. The heirloom quality jewel measures 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) by 1 5/8 inches (4.1 cm) not counting the teeth of the comb. It curves up a bit in the center which creates even more interest and sparkle. This hair comb was designed to stay in place. The jewels have been mounted at a slight angle to the comb base so that the hair can slide underneath the brooch to the top of the comb keeping it secure. You will not believe the sparkle in this one! I love the design of this one not to mention the sparkle. Photos are in no way doing this one justice or capturing the way it glimmers! These Art Deco dress clips are hard to come by and these are SO gorgeous! The comb is in excellent vintage condition with all stones present and sparkly and no wear to the metal. They just don't make jewelry anymore with the quality of the jewels used on this. Why settle for vintage "look" (that always looks like a reproduction) cookie-cutter produced when you can have a designer, unique hair comb made from true vintage jewels??? * Comb will arrive wrapped in tissue inside a gift box. *** Regarding quality - I have been making altered couture jewelry from vintage jewels and selling online for years. I use high quality silver and gold plated comb bases and guarantee that the jewels will not come off.
