I had the privilege of receiving an advanced copy of this book. I love everything about it! The sections are broken down by positions, and the author does a great job selecting the featured player to represent their respective position. And the runner-up choices are also well chosen. The sections are very well put together. I love the Legendary, Spotlight, and Honorable Mention sections. As an old-school fan, I appreciate the amount of older players included as it helps remind us how impactful these players were when they were on the field. This is a well-researched book. There is great detail and it covers all the important elements that NFL fans should know about these football greats. The book is designed for kids, but it is a very enjoyable read for this adult as it takes me down memory lane and reminds me why I enamored these players when I was watching them in real-time. It also provides me with some history lessons for those who played before I watched the game.This is just a fantastic book and delivers just as well as Dave's first book, "The Big Book of College Football Trivia." If you want to teach your kids about some of the true greats, or just want to revisit old memories yourself, this is a fantastic read! Highly recommend!

While it's written for kids to enjoy, with brief write-ups on the greatest players to line up at every position from quarterback to cornerback, the book does more than just familiarize readers with sports legends of the past 7 decades. It conveys the values and personal struggles that defined these individuals. There are some real life-lessons woven into these tales that go beyond the stats to form a personal connection with players from all backgrounds. If you have a young sports fan in the house -- or one that's young at heart -- this book is definitely worth reading and sharing.

This book is a great insightful read for young football fans and I couldn't recommend it enough. Go out of your way to get a copy.
