It's 12-6-18 and after 8 months of casual use, this battery doesn't want to hold a charge. It just started going downhill a few days ago and went from fine one day to critical the next. I can go from a full charge to near dead in about an an hour if I use the phone during that hour. If it just sits unused, it'll be about dead in like 4-5 hours. I'm a middle-aged guy who is not looking at his phone all day and night like the kids are these days with their checking their Instagram, twitter, facebook, etc, so my usage is about average, if not below average. This battery should NOT be dying this soon in the game.I took a chance on this non-Samsung off brand in hopes it'd last a couple years but I am now seriously disappointed. The only thing that attracted me to this battery was the 140mAh increase over the 1,860mAh Samsung batteries. Will have to contact the manufacturer and hope they'll honor their warranty to send me a replacement without a hassle. I really don't want another one of these but I doubt they'll give me my money back now. If they did, I'd definitely by me another actual Samsung battery. The 2,000mAh claim is hard to believe tho.And the review was:This is not a bad review or anything, but this claim that this battery is a 2,000mAh battery is hard to believe. I don't see the increased battery life versus the 1,860mAh Samsung battery, it's only a 140mAh's after all which ain't much but I'll take what I can get. It does work just as well as the original so no complaints there. I took a chance on this off-brand battery and I'm happy with it. I bought this over 4 months ago and it still seems to be holding its' charge like it did when new. Will update after the one year mark assuming I'll remember to do so. Not many people probably use this battery so my review may never get read but if it helps at least one person, that's all I needed so if it helped you, let me know.

My original battery was 3 years old and phone was starting to slow down and reboot randomly especially at around 30% with the charge lasting less than 12 hours. I looked at all the different matching replacements here on Amazon and was skeptical about so called "OEM original" as this phone was already EOL and "obsolete" when I got it in 2015 . I also wondered if the differing mAh rating would affect my phone negatively. I decided to take a chance and on the first day I could tell this battery was going to be good. I followed the tips to prime the battery by letting it go to full change and down to zero for 4 or 5 cycles before resuming normal charging habits. I now have enough battery to last almost 2 days on standby and with my light usage habits I still can go all day without needing to top up the charge or worry about my phone rebooting - in fact, it seems to be performing faster! Very happy with this battery!

The battery has an excellent 2+1 year warranty; however, my batteries only seem to last one year. That being said, I’ve emailed the company, Acevan, with my issues, and they have immediately sent me a new battery each time. They have excellent customer service and I would definitely recommend them. It is far cheaper to buy a battery for $14 than purchase new phone every 2 years. They have honored their warranty for 3 batteries for 3 years and are very pleasing to deal with. My husband loves his Samsung phone which still allows him to change his own batteries. Love this company’s warranty service!

One of the benefits of maintaining older smartphones is the ability to easily replace the battery. The last time I replaced the battery, I purchased a "Genuine" Samsung battery that apparently was a knockoff of the real thing. My first clue (besides the low price) was when the two batteries I purchased both had the same serial number. These batteries did not last long and never worked as good as when the phone was new. I decided on the Acevan battery this time because the company is willing to put its own name on the battery. This battery works as advertised and the phone can go all day without recharging. It has only been a week, but I am very happy with my purchase.

The next paragraph was my first review. I have now bought a second one of these batteries for my son's Alpha. The originally purchased battery is still going strong and holding a charge for a long period of time. As long as we have our Alphas, we are going to stick to this brand of battery.I tried this brand after a disappointing purchase of a Samsung OEM battery required a return. This battery is far superior to even my original Samsung battery. I've never had my phone last so long on a single charge. I do not know if the battery will start the test of time, but my initial experience is an A+.

My phone was at a crawl and the battery started draining rapidly everyday. I got this battery ***And Followed The Directions*** and now my phone is faster, almost like new (I would say it's about 90% what it was when i first got it as far as speed).The people having problems with the battery likely aren't reading the directions. You have to install the battery and let it drain all the way until it drains completely. Then charge it to 100% and let it drain all the way again. Do this 5 times (5 fill cycles) and then charge and use like normal.

The manufacturer states a three year warranty, but my battery lasted about a year, then started being hard to charge, taking a very long time to charge, and causing all types of other things to go wrong. Some items would turn them selves on, and the list continues. At the price I guess you can just buy one every year

Had it a few months now and its doing well. So I would not say this is one of the cheap knock offs. I followed the instructions to drain it fully before charging the first 5 or 6 times. Not sure how much of a difference this makes, but so far its holding its charge for about 2 days with normal to light use. Unlike the old battery which barely could make it through the day. So overall I would say not a bad purchase.
