The Acer wireless mouse is covered with positively charged silver ions which are described as creating an antimicrobial effect. I cannot attest to whether that is true but I do like that concept. The mouse instantly works when the USB plug is put into the computer. Usually, the USB plug-in syncing device is located under the mouse. However, it is instead inside the actual mouse. The cover must be removed and the battery inserted and the device taken out and then plugged in. The top cover comes off easily and goes back on without an issue. The mouse is slower than I expected but still seems accurate. The mouse does not make noise when in use. The buttons require a bit more pressure than ideal. So far, it is working without inaccuracy but requires a little more hand effort than I would like.Suggestions for improvement-Center button to control DPI-Easier to press left and right click-Recharchable design or cord option

I have an Acer laptop and a Lenovo desktop. So far, I've only used this mouse with the desktop and have had no problems. It was simple to open the mouse and put the included A battery in. Then, I turned on the Lenovo, put the mouse plug in a USB port in front, and the computer immediately recognized it and said it was ready to use. At first, it didn't work because I forgot to turn the mouse on! After doing that, though, it worked fine. It's smooth as can be and makes absolutely no clicking noise. The small size works for me, too. I'm keeping the plug in my desktop, but it can be stored inside the mouse when not in use. A tiny manual is included, if you need directions, if you can read the tiny print.

I've been looking for a low profile mouse and the Acer mouse fits the purpose. I spend a good deal of work time on AutoCad and have experienced carpal tunnel issues for years. The curled position you keep your hand in while holding a mouse for long periods of time is your worst enemy. This mouse helps to keep your palm flatter. It feels noticeably different at first, but I got used to it within minutes. There is no lid for the battery. You simply pull the top off to access the battery compartment and cradle for the USB adapter. The flatter profile also fits into the pocket of your computer bag better. Performance is as good as any mouse I've had and the antimicrobial coating is a plus.

I got this mouse to work with my little Chromebook. I usually use the touchpad but the mouse makes it easy to scroll down a web page. I had no issues connecting to the Chromebook.I also connected the mouse to my travel PC and it works as any other mouse.The only thing I do not like is that the mouse buttons do not move or have very little movement when pressing the buttons. After some time, I got used to it.I like the mouse and if you need a good wireless mouse for your Chromebook, this might be a good option for you.

No one expects a budget mouse to be a rockstar purchase, but I do generally expect Acer products to have solid build quality and functionality. I didn't find either to be the case with this little puck. It feels flimsy and cheap, and if you don't get the cover back on correctly the "buttons" don't work at all. If you do, they still never feel like they are properly seated. Tracking is fine, but the clicking experience is just plain annoying. I would look elsewhere.
