Loved that Amazon got these products into my hands in a very short time. With minimum effort on my part☺️

Used for my research.

I have been using John MacArthurs bible study series for almost 2 years now. It has been most enjoyable. I have done about 10 of these books and each one is great. Each one has great insights that could be for any person. They have godly perspective on how we apply the scripture to our lives today and give great background and context to what you’re reading. These books make some of the hardest of books (in the Bible) understandable. This 1 Samuel study is no different.

The content was great. I love the way MacArthur helps you to look for the important details in each passage. The negative to this book was the quality of which it was made. The binding was not of good quality and numerous pages fell out.

I did this book in a bible study group and was great. Well guided questions which made us dig deeper in to understanding relationship between God and human kind. Now embarking into 2 samuel

I bought this for commentary about one chapter. It may be a good book as a whole but for good, specific insight on 1 Samuel 17 I don’t recommend it.

Not a huge fan of MacArthur but wanted a kindle bible study book on Samuel. Was very good to have in a recent hospital stay. Unlike a workbook the scripture passages are in the kindle book. BEWARE, this is not the NIV translation. The scriptures were supposed to have comments on the side but they were at the end of the passage and I think it had something to do with the kindle format. I would probably buy another in this series.
