Impressive Build, Lacking Guidance: Nelawya 4G LTE Antenna Review
I recently purchased the Nelawya 4G LTE Antenna with high hopes for boosting my signal range. While the build quality of the product is undeniably commendable, my experience left me desiring more.Firstly, the antenna itself boasts a sturdy build and a promising 10-12dBi gain, indicating high performance in signal enhancement. However, I encountered a significant setback upon unboxing—there were no accompanying instructions or a test report. This lack of guidance made the installation process quite challenging, especially for individuals not well-versed in antenna setups.Despite my attempts to install it correctly, I found that the antenna didn’t deliver the expected performance. It failed to enhance my 4G signal as anticipated, leaving me disappointed with the outcome. Unfortunately, the absence of a test report made it hard to troubleshoot or understand if the issue was due to compatibility or installation errors.Regrettably, I had to initiate a return due to the unsatisfactory performance. While the build quality is unquestionably robust, the absence of instructions and a test report became a significant drawback in my experience. This lack of guidance made it challenging to optimize the antenna’s potential, ultimately leading to its return. In conclusion, the Nelawya 4G LTE Antenna showcases promising build quality but falls short in providing necessary instructions or a test report. For users seeking clear guidance or troubleshooting support, this might not be the ideal choice. Potential buyers should consider their technical expertise and the need for detailed instructions before purchasing this product.

Excellent Signal
Broadband went down and bought this and a netgear MR2100 4G router. Without this antenna signal was “poor” which improved to “excellent” once this was connected. Getting 100Mb download and 40Mb upload consistently on 3.Make sure you get a CAT20 or better 4G router to get the best speeds. 4G has many different types, with most routers being CAT4 or CAT6. Even with a great signal CAT4/6 routers will never provide a good speed (expect 10-15Mb best case). CAT20 you’ll get 100Mb+ (signal dependent).

4G Mobile Internet Boosting Antenna
Nifty bit of kit, but zero instructions on how to use it - the listing doesn't even say explicitly what it's for. It's very low on the information, particularly regarding compatibility.Essentially what this does, is boost your signal from your NetGear Nighthawk M1. The Netgear Nighthawk M1 is essentially a more powerful version of a mobile phone hotspot. Ideal if you're 'cabled in' internet to your house is poor, or if you're on the move in a van and need strong internet for whatever reason, or are seeking an internet solution that's temporary or more suited to a portable router. The Nighthawk M1 uses a sim card, so you still pay for mobile internet, plus the cost of the device; they are, however, designed well to use these boosters. Why would you want to use a signal booster? The biggest reason I can think would be if you're lucky enough to have a massive house, it can push a fast 4G mobile internet signal out further. A situation you might need this could be if you're on a tractor on a farm (a lot of field monitoring now requires WiFi) or if you've got a home office in a garden away from your house, and there's a point on the land where the signal is strongest - have the M1 in that spot, but signal boost it so that it reaches better to where you would like to use it.Back to this device in question; it works well, but not outstandingly. A lot is very dependent on how you position it, and the existing quality of your mobile broadband. You can't polish a poor signal, or whatever the phrase is...it comes with all the fixings to secure it to your roof, and adapters to plug it in to your nighthawk. The cable isn't overwhelmingly long, so this idea really only works if your router is somewhere near a window. That being said, I was looking to signal boost from my house to a campervan in the garden outside, which is exactly what it has achieved. The speed and quality of my mobile internet isn't improved, but the range has.

Works well with our Huawei B535-333 4G router
We’ve been using this antenna for a month now. It has been rock steady. Adding this as a second antenna has improved the stability of our internet connection. Our connection speed tends to fluctuate dependant upon the time of day. In general, with this antenna, we don’t drop below a minimum of 32 Mbps download. During the late evening / early hours, the download is much faster, so yes, I do recommend this antenna. If you have a decent 4G router, the better the signal you can feed it, the better your experience should be. The antenna arrived in a box with zero instructions, though it is obvious what needs to be connected to where.
