Bought for use on my motorbike's and has proved to be very useful. Very good price, quality and excellent value for money.

This is a scaled-down version of the sort of ratchet torque wrench often used to tighten critical fixings on cars and motorcycles, for example. It covers the lower end of the range, and will be used on small nuts and bolts and screws of various types. My Honda car has torque values specified even for the valve cover, and for the glove box bolts, and they fit within the 2-24N.m range of this wrench. There will be many other applications, such as bicycles where a larger wrench is of no use.It comes in a nice fitted blown plastic case with metal latches, and includes a range of 1/4" drive sockets and accessories. There are no standard hex sockets, but most owners will have a set already. There is an adaptor to allow the use of 3/8" square-drive sockets. Everything looks to be of good quality. The extension bar has a different look and finish from the rest of the set. The wrench itself has a polished chrome and purple anodized finish, with laser engraved markings and looks and feels superb. There is a Certificate of Calibration and a single-page instruction leaflet in the case.The fine 72-click ratchet head has a locking ball bearing retainer, and a lever for reversing its direction, which is much more convenient than the push-through type. The handle twists to adjust the torque setting, and a sprung collar is pulled back to release the lock. I found it easier to hold the handle and ring and turn the shaft when adjusting it.At the current price of £36.98, this attractive and practical set is excellent value.

Very well made with all the main key sizes etc. that you will need for torquing down your bike or whatever. Highly recommend.

The directional switch on the back of the wrench failed after less than 2 weeks. Used on at low torque, max has been 15Nm for my seat post. The rest has been 3.5Nm and 5Nm for my carbon bike.

Let’s first look at what a really good deal this is. If you do any car or motorbike maintenance, you’ll know about That professional maker of tools who are the ‘go to’ sets for professionals, and the most likely ‘competitor’ for this Gunpla set we are reviewing today. Well, the ‘professional makers’ one is around a thousand percent more expensive- quite literally ten times the price. Undoubtedly it’s designed for those whose livelihoods over many years depend on their tools, but to be quite frank, lining up comparative pieces, there seems much less difference in quality than you’d think, and the brand leader doesn’t supply all the extra bits and bobs in this kit. If you are a hobbyist looking for a good torque wrench set, this is definitely as good as you will need, in my opinion.The wrench has locking collars and a ratchet-like click. The scale is in Newton-Meters (so no foot-pounds which you will need for old Nortons or Harley’s. Conversion needs a calculator, therefore - one foot-pound (ft/lb) is equal to 1.356 newton-meters (Nm). So to convert newton-meters (Nm) to foot-pounds (ft/lbs) all you need to do is divide your figure (Nm) by 1.356. The wrench head is really unusual in that it’s reversible - you can do left hand and right hand threads with the one wrench. I have never seen that before, even on the brand leader - that one at a thousand percent more expensive.In the box is also supplied a range of Torx, hex and crosspoint-drive bits and two extension bars, together with a universal joint. You get nine hex bits sockets- H2, H2.5, H3, H4, two of H5, H6, H8, and H10. You also get five torx (the star) bits sockets - T10, T15, T20, T25 and T30 and three Phillips socket bits - PH1, PH2 and PH3. The extension bars are - one 100mm and one 25mm 1/4" to 3/8” adapter.Everything is Chrome Vanadium steel, other than the wrench handle which is aluminium titanium.Overall this is a very high quality and fairly comprehensive set (only really standard hex keys are missing), in a plastic case, at a very attractive price.For the hobbyist, it’s an exceptional deal, and the quality really does seem up there with the best.Highly Recommended!
