These are great for short term use, you can not heat seal them. I used them for seasonings.

I love the challenge of finding"off-label" uses for items so I ordered these in hopes of discovering a great organizational solution. The bags are as advertised: small, black, mylar-foiled, zip-lockable. I couldn't find a use for these bags in the kitchen due to their small size. My wife uses bags like these to package her medications when we travel. I may have use for them in my workshop to keep small parts safe. The downside is that these bags are black so writing on them with a marker requires labels. They're also small and opaque. Can't see what's inside. So the larger size, in white, would be a better bet. If anyone comes up with an ideal use for these small, black containers, please post!

Seems well made and durable. The bottoms are a bit hard to open to make them stand up. You need to push something hard into it to get it open all the way.
