easy to open
I like that this umbrella is easy to open when getting out of the car in the rain. The button is easy to push and the umbrella pops right open. When getting back into the car, the button closes the umbrella but does not retract the length of the arm to collapse it. The spring holding it in the extended position makes it a bit difficult to return the whole umbrella to the compact position. Still, it seems sturdy and works well in the rain. I like the design too.

Works great
I still have this umbrella after several years so it really holds up. I love how it closes, the weight of it and how beautiful it is. Great purchase.

Colorful, innovative, & effective umbrellas
I love these umbrellas, and my son and daughter love the purple and sky blue designs above them as they've walked through the torrential downpours we've had this Winter in Southern California... even four "atmospheric rivers" couldn't defeat these umbrellas. And how many umbrellas have you had strangers walk up to you and say "how cool" and then ask to take it from your hands to see how it works because it opens opposite and counter-intuitively from traditional umbrellas. Cool, artistic, and effective design.Note: I did easily break one of the plastic loop handles by accidentally kicking it when it I got out of my car... but a month and 2 more "atmospheric rivers" later, I'm still using that re-bent into place umbrellas.

This is a great umbrella...
This umbrella is nice and wide to cover your whole body, the inverted design is great for opening from within a car (as they suggest) and it's also good because it helps the umbrella dry by allowing water to run down if you lean it against a wall with the grip side up.I had the chance to try this during a really windy rainy day, overall it performed great. I stayed dry, the material repelled water and didn't absorb it (obviously that would be bad) and it dried quickly once indoors. The wind didn't pull the umbrella inside out, collapse it or destroy it, it resisted the wind very well but calling it "windproof" is a bit of a stretch, your hand and arm definitely will be tugged around, it just isn't as bad as with other umbrellas. The handle is nice but their depiction where you can balance it on your wrist to free up your hand is fantasy, maybe on the moon to shield you from micro-meteors but on this planet that's not happening lol. It could use a textured grip on the handle because it gets quite cold but works well nonetheless. You could smear or spray some plastidip to make one yourself if you wanted.Overall I'm glad I bought it and recommend it. I've always used small cheap $10 umbrellas and never really cared about the quality of my umbrella but I figured for once I should try something new, buy at least one good umbrella with intention, this one was a great choice.

The best umbrella you can buy
I have 2 of these umbrellas because I love them so much. Very well-designed and easy to use. Great quality and hasn’t broken in the 2-3 years that I’ve owned it.

Great concept and very pretty
These umbrellas are very pretty. I never thought about an umbrella that goes up when it folds up instead of down. It does come in handy when you're getting into a car. The pictures on the inside of the umbrella are very pretty. It has a double layer that allows air circulation without letting water in. The only thing that I'm unsure about is when you open the umbrella there is a plastic piece that catches and holds the umbrella open. This piece feels kind of flimsy and I'm one of my umbrellas takes one or two times of me opening it for it to catch. The handle is large and plastic which can be cumbersome but also makes it easy to hold on to. Both umbrellas came with a nice carrying case that, if you have the patience to roll the umbrella up tightly, is nice for storing your umbrella. They are a little pricey considering how cheap umbrellas can be but you do get what you pay for. And these are very pretty.

Great innovative product
These are really nice and easy to use. Really helps in keeping water away from you when you put it down or in the car. Colors of every kind too.

I’ve never been in love with an umbrella before.. until now!
I am DEFINITELY going to buy a few of these for family members next Christmas! I LOVE this umbrella! I don’t think the price is high at all, when I figure out how many cheap umbrellas I have had to toss, sometimes after the very 1st use! $20 is well worth it! My parents pay more than that for name brands that fail them. I’ve already been approached about this umbrella by them, hence why I will be buying some for gifts, IF they don’t get to finding this for themselves first. Oh, how I wish I had invented this item myself! I am a bit of an inventor. Can’t place claim on this fab idea! Darn it lol.1) It’s big, but that helps it offer much bigger protection, than pocket umbrellas. (No getting wet)2) it slims down nicely. (Long but thin. Easy to keep!)2) I love the overall look of it.3) It comes in different designs/ colors/ prints.4) it is totally wind resistant. Where others break, this trooper survives. Even if it goes back.. it’s all good! No others do that!5) it seems unbreakable (at least in windy & rainy situations I’ve encountered thus far.)6) loving the handle. I’ve let go of umbrellas in the wind before. I like the secure feeling of it.7) you invert the umbrella to keep yourself, mainly for me, my hair and makeup dry, while getting into your car, by simply pulling it through a partially open window, then closing up shop. Problem? Solution. Now have I been out in a hurricane yet? No! But I wouldn’t ever expect to be. I don’t think anything on earth could protect against that. Being absolutely reasonable, this product will not disappoint you.In wind and rain, thus far, I only have compliments on this umbrella. I’ve owned about 50 in my lifetime. (No joke) and I would buy this one if it ever did break, because it’s already beaten out all the rest and has earned its value!I hope this review helps buyers make their decision!

Wanted to love them but can't
I doubt I'd buy these again. Bought less than 3 months ago used maybe 4 takes and both umbrellas the inner layer of fabric is starting to wear and today the handle on the one umbrella snapped off.

Broke the third time I used it.
One of the metal arms inside the two layers of fabric is broken and swinging around loosely. Otherwise I very much liked the umbrella.

Very Happy
I find myself waiting for rain so I can use it. Love the reverse mechanism. The red is vibrant. It seems durable, but with weather in my area, it will be sitting around more than it will be used. I love having the shoulder bag, but would prefer either a bag that is easier to get around the umbrella OR a bag that allows you to stuff the umbrella in from the handle side side so we aren't fighting the direction of the tines OR just put a strap on the umbrella itself.
